The long awaited event was at last round the corner. Because of the Diwali season railway tickets could not be booked. When I had booked the tickets, I had 8 seats available and after the payment went through the tickets were wait-listed. I spoke to the rest and we all decided to cancel the tickets. I heard that Pujya Swamiji had mentioned that “baraati sabh tayaar hue hain par dulhe ki hi ticket nahi hui hai” (the marriage party is ready with confirmed tickets but the bridegroom does not have a booking)! In this scenario I had decided to drive down from Mumbai. I had four sadhaks with me and I had promised Ramaniji that on the return trip he could join us. Thinking of thoughts as energy, or a series of electro-magnetic waves, can help us to envision how they affect others. We can summarize the Law of Conservation of Energy as “energy is neither created nor destroyed; only rearranged.” In this, we see the possibility that our thoughts might hang around long after we are done with them! I would like to begin by giving a brief background on the preparations for this unique Gurupurnima. In the last one month or so before July 21, I had been to Dandi on three of the Sundays and to be honest with you I used to wonder how such a gigantic task would get accomplished. Mind you, I had full faith in the Guru energies and in Pratapbhai’s organisational capacity and commitment to have the preparations completed in time. Just the Sunday before GP 2013, the heavens had opened up and the rains had really made the ground soggy and only the frame for the massive pandal had been put up.
