MAHASHIVRATRI 2015 – DANDI ASHRAM, 17TH FEBRUARY 2015
We left for
Dandi Ashram at 1.10pm from my office. There were three cancellations and one
addition, which was a sadhika from Ambuja centre. She had joined Samarpan Meditation in April
2009 and stopped coming for Samarpan events and meditation at the centre since
Gurupurnima 2010. She is a pure soul and her connection with Swamiji is very
strong. After a gap of five years she told me about a fortnight ago that she is
coming. I told her she is welcome though I was not sure whether we could accommodate
her as bookings were all full. But then, Swamiji always makes room for those
whose desire is powerful and intent pure. And there she was with some last
minute cancellations! We picked up Deepali Gokhale and Pawan Kankani and the
four of us left from Fountain at Ghodbunder road at 2pm. The roads were mostly
clear and we reached the Ashram at exactly 4.55pm. We had the pure wish to have
collective meditation on the last day of Anushthan and even though in the
morning it was announced that the morning meditation would be the last, they
had one more meditation from 6.30-7pm which actually completed my personal
sankalp (with HIS GRACE) of at least attending 5 days in the 45 day Anushthan
period. The Ashram was full of divine consciousness, peace and a sense of calm permeated
all round. There was bhojan Prasad, after which we left for the Hotel at around
8.30pm. Chaaneeji joined us on the return journey as she was in the same hotel.

We checked
into the hotel and hit the sack by 9.30pm. I woke up at 2.30am and completed my
morning ritual by 3pm, by which time Pawanji also got up and got ready by
3.30am. In that half hour when Pawanji was bathing I meditated. We left for
breakfast which is a norm the Hotel Regency has made for all those who leave
for the Ashram – we had ‘poha’, bread-butter and a cup of tea before we left. I
called Ramnath to check if he was ready to leave, and he told me to leave as he
had another 10-15 minutes to get ready. Later he told me that he woke with my
call, and if I had not called he did not know when he would have woken up.
Khamankarji was also waiting, as his family was yet to get ready. We left
behind another car which was leaving for the Ashram. I decided to follow this
car as the car GPS had kept us running in circles the previous evening in
trying to find the hotel. If it was not for a good Samaritan on a bike who
asked us to follow him, we would probably have been driving around in circles!
We reached
the Ashram at 4.45am and after parking had to walk almost 500 meters to the
venue. The morning traffic to the Ashram was a steady stream of all kinds of
vehicles, from buses, trucks. Tempos, private vehicles, taxis, autos and bikes;
as we had left early we did not get any serious traffic except on the narrow
road to the Ashram, and as we entered the Ashram in the rear view mirror I saw
a line of headlights which appeared like the queens necklace at Marine Drive in
Mumbai! The atmosphere at Dandi Ashram was out of the world, it was surreal
with mist descending on the seashore - the entire Ashram enveloped in mist at 5
in the morning. It was as if the Himalayan atmosphere had descended to enchant
the followers of Samarpan Meditation - about 25000 seekers attended - in the
presence of Shiva and Shakti personified, namely HH Shree Shivakrupand Swamiji
and Pujaniya Guruma. The meditation at 6am was awesome as the temperature kept
going down and coldness added to the mist made the whole morning mystical. The waning moon, crescent shaped, shining
in the early morning sky, like the moon on Lord Shiva’s hair added to the
enchantment of a truly divine morning. The meditation was nice except that it
was disturbed by a bit of snoring from about five six sadhaks in and around us,
with a couple of them snoring from the wrong end!!

At 6.25am
post meditation Ram-kaka made us offer a prayer for making our condition good
and strong to receive the consciousness to be showered by Pujya Swamiji. At
6.30am Pujaniya Guruma entered to the sound of conch shells.
Subsequently
Ambareeshji welcomed the 5 Jain monks who were resident during the 45 day
Anushthan – first was Shree Tarachand muni, then Prashant muni, then Samarpan
muni, then Mahasagar muni and finally Ratnasagar muni. After that the President
of the Anushthan programme Shree Tandelji welcomed the various local government
officials like the ex-collector of Navsari, the present collector of Navsari
amongst others.
A lot of
publications and CD’s were launched at the hands of Pujaniya Guruma like
Himalaya Ka Samarpan Yog 4 in Gujarati and Marathi, HKSY 5 in Gujarati, MAA in
Gujarati, Satguru ke Hriday se in all four languages – Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi
and English, Chaitanya Mahotsav 2014 MP3 CD and Makarsankranti 2015 MP3 CD.
Pujaniya Guruma made a brief speech and thanked Jayeshbhai for the effort taken
in getting all these publications in time to be inaugurated on Mahashivratri
day.
Shortly
after that the chant started playing and all of us were asked to get ready for
Swamiji’s arrival. I closed my eyes and went inward connecting with Pujya
Swamiji’s energy and feeling the vibrations on the inside of my spine and on
the crown chakra. At exactly 7am Pujya Swamiji entered to the sound of conch
shells as the day dawned with wafts of mist still floating around. By the time
Swamiji entered the temperature had gone down noticeably and people were
sitting with shawls, sweaters, blankets et al.
After Pujya
Swamiji lit the traditional lamp and took His seat, we chanted the Guru Ahavan
mantra and then Ram-kaka requested Pujya Swamiji to shower His consciousness on
all of us.
“Salutations
to all pious souls present here. Today on this holy occasion of Mahashivaratri
we pure souls have all gathered here – Mahashivaratri is the festival of souls.
This is one life – in this world the truth is only one – no one has seen that
truth because our eyes are not capable of seeing it, nobody has heard it
because our ears are not capable of hearing it, nobody has spoken about it because
describing it in any language or words is not possible – it is not possible as
it is not related to the body – you cannot describe it, see it, or listen to it
with the body, nevertheless when one goes within for some moments, when ‘bhaav’
(inner feeling) is awakened, we feel the experience and the path to that
experience is Samarpan Meditation (SM). In SM you can experience that TRUTH and
after experiencing it you can also see and hear it which is physically not
possible, but for this to happen it is necessary for the soul to be awakened
for the self-realisation. Self-realisation is not possible in one birth, it
happens after efforts made in many births and then in one birth it is attained.
After attaining it the path ahead depends on how much we experience it, feel it.
Just self-realisation is not everything. The truth is only one – we can accept
it as universal consciousness, which is present in every atom and particle in
our life – it has no form or colour. That universal consciousness has been
given different forms and names –the inner form is only one but it has got
different forms. For example, accept that a ball of mud is there, some will
make statues of Buddha, some of Mahavira, some of Jesus, Ram, etc. Its inner
form is mud and man has given it shape and form. Similarly man gives the form he
likes to God, but if all those statues are again turned to mud then they return
to their original form (inner form). We give importance to the body, but if we
give importance to the inner-form, then we give importance to Paramatma. The
truth is only one – when we experience that then everything in life becomes
good. Shiva and Shakti is one – to reach that Ganesh is required, Ganesh
represents purity, whereas Shiva is the soul and Shakti is the Kundalini
energy. Without purity you cannot even reach it, first purity, then Shakti and
then finally Shiva. If we understand God, then bring in purity, then the Kundalini
is awakened and self realisation follows. In this manner Mahashivaratri is the
festival of souls. This Mahashivaratri festival is important because SM has
completed 21 years. This is a very important day as the 9th Deep
Meditation Practicum (DMP) was completed. During the GDP many different
programmes take place. The messages which you receive every Thursday are
completed in the first eight days, that is why they have been translated from
London and the book has been released this MS. It is important the kind of
vibrations you receive. The sadhaks who do not meditate regularly also come
during the Anushthan. The source of vibrations will be known. 15 years ago I
used to speak of the aura and there was no proof on how to check the aura, but
now you can have proof of it (through Kirlian photography, Bio-Field
Evaluation). I have complete confidence that science will progress and knowledge
of vibrations will be known. The frequency of any book which is written through
vibrations you will be able to directly receive that without even reading it. From
this one place I connect with millions of people, because all the sadhaks
meditate during these 45 days. During the DMP the sadhaks and the sevadharis
(volunteers) help – my heartfelt thanks to all of them. Even if you connect
with that collectivity that is also help – and millions of people have helped.
In this Anushthan Guruma has helped a lot. (Swamiji became emotional and His
voice cracked a bit and He also shed some tears). This cannot be imagined. The
world inside that metal enclosure is completely different; to stay awake is
difficult – entering that place is as good as going into a trance. She used to
come daily for 2-3 hours do her work – cook, clean, wash – and then leave. I
would sit in any place, there was no definite place where I could be found, she
kept bottles of dry fruits in different places – like a mother takes care of
her child - she took care of me. My heartfelt thanks to her! This DMP would not
have been possible without all your help.
The ninth
idol has been consecrated. But the idols are also live, they are now giving
their conditions. The consecration is not easy. The elements, the people, the
material has to be purified and then the idol is purified and prayer is offered
for it to flow from all directions. And then a vow is taken to give
self-realisation to any sadhak who asks the idol for it. The condition that
this idol has laid down is that it will not move from here unless it gets a
permanent place for being established.
The third
important thing – in 21 years in which SM has been in society it has got
sadhaks from adivasi tribals to kings and it has also reached the Theosophical
society in London. People from different castes, color, country have
participated and everyone has got the same experience – millions are connected
with SM. The female energy has given it permanence. The ladies are the roots
because of which it has got a strong foundation. It is available free of cost
and it has spread in so many countries – it can be said that this is the only
path by which people can be connected with people. SM has slowly and steadily spread in countries
in which we have no contact too. Every year new countries are getting connected.
I will be going to Arab countries in May to connect more sadhaks with SM.
I contemplate on the progress of sadhaks – that is my aim. On doing that
I have understood some things and what blockages are there to meditation. I got
a thought as a solution to solve this issue. The Anushthan starts today. The
story of your life – you have come from different cities, villages. I will
describe a situation which can be seen in your daily life. Check for yourself
where you have reached. Imagine that you are going by car and in front of you
there is a big petrol tanker. You are driving at a safe distance because you
are afraid of petrol tankers. The road is narrow and there is no room for you
to overtake the tanker, you wait for him to give side, then you honk, you keep
flashing your lights and honking but he does not move aside! You always think
from your point of view, you are not thinking of the tanker driver who is driving
such a huge vehicle. The tanker driver is afraid too, he is driving on a narrow
road so he does not move aside, lest he misses the road and gets stuck. So what
options do you have? You can express your anger by mentally cursing the
person. You can honk
the horn repeatedly in an attempt to have the truck give way to you. You can
try overtaking the truck by repeatedly moving your car ahead. You can bear it
by believing it to be a consequence of your actions. You can pray, “Oh God,
grant him good sense so that he gives way for me to move ahead.” Or you can
pray to give yourself the strength to get through this situation. Unless you
are balanced you cannot have world peace. Don’t pray to balance the driver, the
problem will not be solved, you become strong by praying for your balance and
strength.
In SM there are three types of sadhaks: 1) Those who meditate regularly,
not just during the DMP; 2) Those who meditate when they have problems and they
are like the blinking Diwali lamps which blink on and off; and 3) Those who
have attained self-realisation but do not meditate because they do not have the
time. In Jaipur a shibir for doctors had been conducted. A famous surgeon
asked, - I cannot even take half an hour for myself, what should I do? I told
him to leave his profession. These people do not even reach the age of 60! If
you cannot even give half an hour to yourself – then think about your life! I
am inviting all three types to participate in the Samuhik Sanskar Sadhana.
Fourthly I want even those who are not a part of Samarpan family to
participate – all those who want to progress from the physical level to the
soul level. So through Samuhik Sanskar Sadhana this will be possible. Sadhaks
used to ask – what next? This is simple. I have explained this at a very low
level. You will understand this in this one year. Imagine that you are in a bus
which is going to Rajkot. You booked the ticket, sat in the bus, showed the
conductor the ticket, you are awake but you are not sure whether it is going to
Rajkot. You ask the passenger next to you, you pester the conductor, the driver
and you keep on asking, you do not have confidence even when you are inside the
bus. You have to surrender and do SM. In India everyone is left sided (chandra
nadi people) – they go left, they do not stay in the center; you give them
Guru-karya and then they go right, they do not stay in the centre. Meditation
progress should be slow and steady.
Let me explain what the difference is between the past and the future. There
is an oarsman who is sitting in his boat. He gets a passenger who has no faith
in both the boat and the oarsman and he keeps shifting from one side to the
other. The boat does not progress, and it remains in the same place. The ego is
very subtle, we do not understand it. I used to propagate SM, but I still had
the ego of coming and going with ‘my’ money. This was broken by Shirdi Baba –
if you say you have no ego means you definitely have it. I told Baba that I do
this because I like it. Sai Baba then gave me the experience, his frequency and
my frequency matched – I come with my money and go and I was limiting my work,
and then it spread because Baba told me not to ask for money, but if someone
offers it then it should be taken. Collectivity is very important. Don’t try to
do it alone. When I was given money I used to distribute it and the work
stopped because of my ego. Then after I started accepting money the work spread
all over the world in the last 15 years. We are meditating for 15 years but we
are not progressing, this is because of our ego. In the new method you have to
swim and go. Two things could happen – 1) You swim and reach your destination,
2) If not, you will learn the importance of the boat. With this you ego will
break. Swim and reach, if you don’t reach then your ego will break that I could
not reach.
The Guru mantra is so powerful that your frequency is not matching that
of the mantra. Keep it secret. Don’t tell anyone, keep it secret – people’s bad
attention comes on it. Do it (meditate) without expectation, as when there is
expectation there is no progress – when you play carom, badminton – you feel
good. Make meditation your hobby, do it because you like it – secretly and
without expectation. Focus on your senses – the state of your house is good –
you clean your house daily, but the windows are open and dust comes in. Close
those windows. - 1) Don’t speak ill of others; 2) Don’t listen to ill; 3) Don’t
see bad things – the eyes spoil your chitta and this has been proven by
science. – you absorb those bad vibes. 4) Don’t even think bad – as you
progress in your sadhana (spiritual practice) your chitta becomes pure and as
it becomes pure it becomes strong and whatever you think happens, because your
chitta shakti (will’s inner power) will start working at it – so if you think
then it will happen. If you think ill of others it will happen and that sin
will be your karma. Between 4-6am meditate with pure feeling. “Mai ek pavitra
atma hoon, mai ek shudha atma hoon” (I am a pure soul, I am a holy soul). Chant
it three times and say it with deep feeling – I have taken birth in different
religions, caste, colour, languages, gender, countries and my purity has been maintained
as it is – when you feel this you will experience that there is no effect of
the religion, caste, language, country, colour or gender. All these will end
automatically once you accept that you are a pure soul, holy soul. I am a holy
soul – I am nothing but a soul. I don’t have a post, etc to a point where you don’t
differentiate between whether you are a male or female, you are just a soul.
Meditate regularly – don’t miss a single day – I will not let you go – meditate
even at midnight, it will do. The best time is between 4-6 am – the purity will
not happen at your centre – the centre is a lake, you have to go to the drop,
drop should be pure.
There was a king who told his citizens that they will fill the lake with
milk and for that each family should give one litre of milk. Then that milk
could be used for the entire kingdom. Everybody thought that the next person
will give the milk, so I will just pour some water. The next day when the king
went to the lake he saw that it was filled with water as no one had given milk.
Start with yourself, improve yourself. I will be personally there with all
those who commence. Earlier I used to tell you not to meditate between 10pm-4am.
This is an inward journey. Don’t do it because I am saying so. Say I will start
and do it till the next Mahashivaratri. That time taken will be filled with
milk and not with water. Remember to close the windows – the eyes, ears, mouth,
tongue and brain. There will be no progress unless you close the windows.
Starting today is the Samuhik Sanskar Sadhana – values of I am a pure soul, I
am a holy soul – remember this meditation is yours an yours alone. There should
be no one within five feet of you while meditating. Everyone’s aura will
develop. Now that aura is not developed. It is like a rose garden – the plants
are placed at a distance of five feet from each other so that they have room to
develop. Give space and meditate. If you cannot give half an hour then
contemplate on your life – I am doing so much for my family, office, etc. but
not for myself. This time what you give yourself will be permanent and will be
with you for eternity. Your aura, your soul will be of use to you. In this half
hour you will become your own Guru. Some people say let us try and see – in this
everyone has given space for their aura to develop. You can do it anywhere –
but nobody should be with you. We start from today. Anyone can participate from
any point in time. There is no condition, no rule – it is open for all. SM –
Samuhik Sanskar Sadhana (collective meditative practice for establishment of
spiritual values) – all these are examples of increase in work.
After doing this samuhik sanskar sadhana for one year – you are offering
Guru Dakshina (offering to the Guru in return for His teachings) to those
Himalayan Gurus. Guru Dakshina has great importance in Indian culture. For a
Guru, his Guru-karya is of paramount importance. Even I have tried to give Guru
Dakshina by doing Guru-karya. This is also true in other fields like music,
painting, dancing, singing – and not only in spirituality. The dream is who
will take it forward, similarly the Gurus feel that others should get what I
got. The Guru Dakshina which they want you to give is this one years samuhik
sanskar sadhana as it is also the inspiration which has come from my Gurus,
hence it is being started from this Mahashivaratri. Many times I meet many
Gurus. I keep telling them about this Anushthan I tell them that they should
give themselves some time. This is not the Himalayas or a desolate, uninhabited
place – this is society with thought pollution, dirty, so each year every Guru
should do it – I stay alone for 45 days and receive (consciousness) and then
distribute in the remaining 320 days. This is like a bank deposit which you
receive and then keep distributing the accumulated interest, keeping the
principal intact. Like a vessel which is polished and kept, the next day it has
become dull because dust of the day has settled on it. Gurus should polish
themselves daily, if not possible daily then some days should be given to
themselves – as otherwise the bad effects of society will come on them also.
Whoever you are – give yourself time. It is very difficult unless your chitta
is inward. The chitta keeps coming out. It is a practice you have to do daily
and go inward; if this not possible then chant for half an hour – the number of
times you chant is not important, the inner feeling of the soul is important.
On saying it three times so much energy should be generated that meditation
should be instantaneous. Liberation (moksha) is the ultimate goal.
Question is what is this moksha? If you have this objective and live
then what change can come in your life – you can be free of problems in life.
Meditate regularly and by this the feelings of your body reduce and the
feelings of your soul increase, after which there are many benefits – your mind
will begin to focus, your capacity to receive will increase, you will be
healthy, your life will be free of accidents, your aura develops and protects
you, you won’t even think about suicide. Nature actually balances – the
male-female ratio is adverse – there are less females who are born but more
males die, so a kind of balance is maintained. You will become so pure, so holy
that you will become a medium to give birth to the Guru of the Gurus. You
become a medium for giving birth to the Guru of the Gurus, mother, father –
what can be greater than that. With peace, satisfaction – you will live and
then you will die a spiritual death after which there is no birth. There are
three types of deaths – Bouthik mrityu (material death) which can be avoided
through medical intervention by a doctor, Daivik mrityu – you can be saved with
God’s Grace through the medium of a Guru and finally Adhyatmik mrityu – where there
is no desire to live, there is nothing left to be achieved – that is spiritual
death. Once the objective of moksha is achieved then life’s management takes
place. Hence I tell the youth that the Guru’s Guru wishes to take birth on
earth, and that is my Guru’s wish. The objective of SM is to create such souls
who can become good bodies to do this work. Samuhik Sanskar Sadhana – we start
this today – you can join anytime. When you focus on your senses – the dirt
which comes from the eyes, mouth, ears will stop coming. By meditating
regularly, you will purify it. On this festival of Mahashivaratri we start the Samuhik
Sanskar Sadhana and on the next Mahashivaratri when we meet, this lake will be
filled with souls and not physical bodies – Salutations!”
With this the discourse ended, we did Shanti path at 8.40am. After that
as per the last three year’s tradition, Pujya Swamiji went around the ground on
his sadhak-pulled chariot. Swamiji was vibrating at a very high frequency and
showering consciousness as he went around the ground. I was in a meditative
state during his rounds internally chanting the mantra and listening to the
bhajans. After Swamiji’s departure, the paduka naman programme took place to
the accompaniment of bhajans. I met Ramnath, Khamankarji our Madhuchaitanya
team members like Parabji, Diptiji and her son, Hemanginiji and family and a
whole lot of people from the Samarpan family. We then stood in line for the
bhojan Prasad, with a 25000 people, by the time we finished our Prasad it was
11am. We then left for the Sahitya stall where we were supposed to meet, got
together and left. Mr. Virkar had given me a packet to be delivered to
Khamankarji which was in my car. I told Khamankarji to proceed to his car and
told him that I will bring Ramnath with me. On the way we met Dr. Ishnathji and
his Vasai gang, then walked all the way in the heat to the parking lot. Met
Khamankarji as he drove down, I picked up the packet and handed it over to
Khamankarji, they then left for the hotel. I took the car and brought it near
the departure point so that the ladies did not have to walk too much. I went
back and requested the ladies and Pawan to move out, and by the time we left
the Ashram premises it was almost 11.30am. We dropped Chaaneeji at Navsari
station and then left for Mumbai. We had our usual halt at Parsi Dairy Dhaba at
Talaseri – it was full of Samarpan sadhaks. After snacks we left Talaseri and
had a peaceful drive to Mumbai with very little traffic. After dropping off
everybody I reached home by 5pm.
All the best for your Samuhik Sanskar Sadhana…… maintain secrecy……shhhhhhhhh…

Please excuse the accuracy of the discourse I have tried to transcribe
it and note down everything that was humanly possible. The 100% accurate CD of
the discourse will come in due course.
