CHAITANTYA MAHOTSAV MAHASHIBIR 2015 – (6, 7, 8 November)

As usual I woke up at around 3.30am on the 6th and completed my morning formalities. I went to Ujjwala Didi’s house to take a package to be delivered to Ramaniji at the Ashram at around 6.45am. I took the package and then left for my first pick up which was Sridhar Mani from Bangalore whose flight had landed right on time. I picked him up at the scheduled time of 7.15am and then called Harish Rao to check where he had reached – he said he was on his way to Sai Motors, Andheri and should reach in 5minutes. We reached Andheri in the next 5 minutes and Harish came within a couple of minutes of us reaching there. I then called Deepali Gokhaleji saying that we had left the airport and we were on our way to Borivali. We reached Borivali at around 7.35am and waited for her. She came within 5 minutes of our reaching Borivali. Deepak Tandon and his party were to join us at Fountain. We reached Fountain at around 8.05 and waited for Deepak Tandon. He came at around 8.30am after picking up Ashish Rajput – a first timer. We then left and halted at Kamats for breakfast – it appeared as if the restaurant was full of sadhaks headed for Dandi Ashram. Mrs. And Mr. Veerkar, Kirti Astikji and family, lots of other sadhaks were there. We had idli sambar for breakfast along with kanda poha and then left for Dandi. We reached the Ashram at around 11.45am.
We were welcomed with the traditional tilak and rose water being sprinkled as we went in. There were folk dancers welcoming the sadhaks to the Ashram with their dance performances. As we went towards the Maharashtra registration counter we encountered a massive rush. The registration could have been better organised – we had smaller State registration between big state registrations with people from the smaller States pushing to get into their line. Also the purpose of having bar codes on the entry cards was defeated as there were no bar code scanners and the cards were being manually checked against the registration numbers on a piece of paper. This made the process a bit cumbersome and slow. We took about 45 minutes of standing in the heat before we managed to squeeze into the registration desk. I got myself registered along with four other sadhaks who gave their cards to me for doing the needful. For the first time I had booked myself into the VIP section. As Harish and I tried to enter the VIP section we were stopped saying that our card had not been rubber stamped! On enquiring why the stamp was required, we were told that someone had made stickers of the VIP section and affixed them on the normal one and had entered, hence they had made rubber stamping compulsory. I was just thinking of going back into the crowd and heat, when the volunteer very kindly told us to wait there only and he will do the needful for us! I heaved a sigh of relief and mentally said Jai Baba Swami. After he came back I thanked him profusely and we went into the VIP section which was in the garden area and our beds had been put in the large meditation hall. Ladies were on the right and gents on the left. Harish, Sridhar and I went into the hall and got beds for ourselves below the fans. Sridhar bedded down next to Diwakar Sambhareji his ex-mate from Singapore and Harish and I went further into the hall and got three beds alongside. Later in the afternoon, Khamankarji took the bed next to mine. Here it was very cool, pleasant and extremely comfortable. We freshened up and had our lunch and then came back and relaxed. The havan ceremony was to start at 4pm and we had been asked to assemble at 3.15pm. Till then we relaxed after lunch.

Those who were not participating in the havan were requested to assemble in the main hall where Anuragji and Ambareeshji were to give presentations on the future direction of Samarpan through use of technology. Guruma inaugurated Samarpan Sahitya including HKSY-5 in English, Calendars, Photo frames, CD- Doctoron ka anand.

At around 3pm we left for the havan section, where 1021 havans had been created with great feeling and love. There were 1491 participants sitting for the havan. The earlier Saturday – 31st October – we were in the Ashram for a Madhuchaitanya meeting and when Jayeshbhai and I were going to the Bhojnalaya (we have to cross the havan area to reach) as we came parallel to the havan area I felt waves of consciousness washing over me, and as we progressed towards the centre the waves just increased. I asked Jayeshbhai whether he could feel it – he said yes – then I told him this has been built/created with great love and feeling without which we would not have experienced the cold vibrations. I mentioned this to Rambhai later, and he said that all the kunds were prepared with great love and feeling (bhaav). We sat outside in the shade enjoying the cool breeze as the preparations for the havan were in progress. At 3.15pm they asked us to take our place – I was on L31 alone as I did not have any family member. I took my place and as I was alone there was no distraction, I just shut my eyes and mentally started chanting “Aum Swami Namo Namaha, Baba Swami Namo Namaha, Shree Swami Namo Namaha, Satguru Swami Namo Namaha”……. as I started the chant the same waves of consciousness which had showered us last Saturday started flowing again. It was continuous …… cold beautiful energy flowing down from the Sahastrar up to the toes of my feet. I could feel the energy in every atom in the body as it flowed down….giving me a sense of complete inner calm and phenomenal inner silence amongst the external sounds one could hear faintly. My Sahastrar was throbbing continuously. I was in this state for maybe a half hour or so when announcements started calling sadhaks to take their seats. Lots of sadhaks had gone to the main hall instead of coming for the havan. I believe Anuragji and Ambareeshji were giving updates on the progress of the Trust in Information Technology and other matters. The havan which was to start at 4pm started much later as the sadhaks took time taking their seats. His Holiness Swamiji and His entire family came and sat for the havan to the sound of conches and rounds of large applause and shouts of ‘Baba Swami Maharaj ki Jai’, ‘Vandaniya Gurumaiyya ki jai’….. Ambareeshji came and took the mike and announced that you are the lucky people who are fortunate to be participating in a havan which is taking place for the first time in 800 years…..(loud applause). The havan started at 5pm with Ambareeshji lighting the lamp in from of the subtle body photo and Rambhai conducting the havan in his inimitable style. As the havan progressed I started getting a faint fragrance of – was it sandalwood, rose, jasmine – could not place it – but it was divine for sure…… this fragrance kept coming and going every few minutes. My mind was completely calm and engrossed in the proceedings – like the soul was 100% focussed on performing the havan in the divine presence of the Guru Energies. It was now getting dark and the 1021 havans had been lit and the energy being created by the fires was amazing……. It was like we were sitting in the midst of an ocean of consciousness…… words fail me to describe either the scene or the feelings. His Holiness Swamiji and family did the parikrama to the accompaniment of the Gayatri mantra being chanted by all of us. Rambhai explained that Swamiji had earlier said that the parikrama was very big and He would not do it. But commeth the moment and everything happens according to His wish. Swamiji and family completed the parikrama (circumventing the entire havan area) in spite of the stones not being removed (as Swamiji had said He would not be doing it). It was completely ethereal……. It was like hundreds of fires with hundreds of souls sitting around them participating in the havan to the sound of chants and mantras in the presence of Shiv and Shakti!!! One could have literally cut the energy with a knife – it was so palpable! Ultimately the proceedings ended at around 7pm. I got up, took the Prasad, the ganesh idol, the coconut, flowers, etc, put them in the bag and went to circumvent the area. As I was walking alone I remembered I had not taken the ‘panchamrut’ – as I walked on I saw a lady giving the panchamrut to a sadhak, I put my hand forward for it – she gave me the entire glass and asked me to distribute it. I waited there and offered a few drops to sadhaks who came forward – after giving it to more than 20 people, I partook of the last few drops and proceeded onwards. I left for dinner, met all the other sadhaks in a sense of oneness and love energy, Khamankarji, Vibhavji, etc and then went to rest in the bedding hall. We were called back to the main hall for the cultural program at 8.30pm.

Dr. Paras Bhatt and Poojaji Gajjar were the Masters of Ceremony for the festival. It was good to have Parasbhai back after an interval of a couple of years. The immense knowledge he throws while compeering is amazing and always a delight.

Parasbhai announced that Swamiji would be attending the cultural program and this was greeted with a loud round of applause and Jai Jai kars! Her Holiness Guruma’s arrival was announced with the blowing of conches followed by the arrival of His Holiness Swamiji again to the sound of conches. Both took their seats after greeting the sadhaks with folded hands. The MC’s then announced the start of the cultural program which began with a dance performance to the music of ‘Ganesh Vandana’ performed by sadhikas from the Bharuch centre. After this the following performances took place in serial order:
2.  Gurudev Hare by Ahmedabad Zone 3.
3.  Samarpan Dhyan – Moksha ka Dwar – a beautiful presentation by the Thane centre.
4.  Surat centre performed a dance to the accompaniment of the track ‘Ding Dong Ding – lambi daadi waale bauna’ sung by Her Holiness Guruma….. which was enjoyed by all including Guruma.
5.  Amreli centre performed a dance to the accompaniment of the track ‘Saccha such hai samarpan me’.
6.  Airoli centre performed a dance to the accompaniment of the Hindi film track, ‘Maine kaha phoolon se’.
7. Jamnagar centre performed a dance to the accompaniment of the track, ‘Har taraf, har jagah, har ghadi pe hai – haan usi ka roop’.
8. Mulund centre performed a dance to the accompaniment of the track, ‘Bhagwan tum kahan rehte ho’.
9. New Panvel centre performed a dance to the accompaniment of the track, ‘Han reham karna khuda’.
10. Lokhandvala centre, Borivali performed a dance to the accompaniment of the theme, ‘Radha aur gopiyon ka prem’.
11. Surat centre performed a dance to the accompaniment of the track, ‘Surya uge’.
12. The sadhaks from Baba Swami Dham performed a lively garba dance.
13. Ajmer centre performed a dance to the accompaniment of the track, ‘Jai Karen Gurudev ka’.
14. Bhavnagar centre performed a dance to the accompaniment of the track, ‘Aunsh hai ek Gurudev ka’.
After the last performance, it was almost 11pm by the time His and Her Holiness departed, followed by the sadhaks. We were quite tired and retired for the night immediately.

7.11.2015
The day started at 3am, with the early morning rituals. At 3.45am I went and sat outside on the bench for meditation. The atmosphere was nice and cold and very pleasant – full of consciousness. At around 5am post meditation I went to the bedding hall and changed and then lay down with eyes closed. I waited till Khamankarji and Harish also got ready and at 5.30 am we left for the main hall for early morning meditation. Rambhai started the meditation at around 5.50am with Guru Avahan and Guru Mantra…… The meditation in the presence of the collectivity of 7000+ souls was awesome; it was disturbed just once by the scream of an unstable soul after which there was silence. The meditation ended at around 6.45am after which we were told to reassemble at 8.30am after the breakfast interval.
We reassembled at 8.30am and took our places in silence. Her Holiness Guruma arrived at 8.50am to the sound of conches followed by Swamiji at 9am sharp. After Swamiji lit the lamp and paid obeisance to Dad Guru and the Guru Energies He took His seat. Rambhai then requested His Holiness to shower His nectar through His discourse.
“My Salutations to all pious Souls present here……..
I welcome you all from the bottom of my heart to today’s Chaitanya Mahotsav  Mahashibir (CMM). Today’s CMM is special in many ways. It is special not only because of the Guru Shakti Dham (GSD) bhoomi pujan but also because Samarpan Meditation is now progressing towards stability/permanence. To understand its importance you will have to understand many subjects in great depth – without that you won’t understand today’s importance, hence we will try and understand each topic individually. Firstly, when a child is small – 5 years old – he/she understands the purpose of his/her taking birth, their past lives – similarly I too knew the purpose of my life in my childhood. My birth has taken place for a special purpose, but at a young age I did not know what that was, but I knew that I was a pure soul, a pious soul. As the days passed, further progress was started by the soul from within. My maternal grandmother (Nani) used to say that Paramatma is indestructible – He existed in the past, He exists today, He will exist tomorrow. My child-brain realised that Paramatma is no physical body – Paramatma keeps changing – the form keeps changing but the inner form was there yesterday, is there today and will be there tomorrow. I told my Nani that I will look for Paramatma – and once I find Him I will inform the world. After that a thirst awakened within me to find the Paramatma of the present – Nani talks of the past – who is Paramatma today? In which form is the inner form appearing in? I set out in search. I kept the frame in my heart empty. I had a firm desire to meet Him. Like a thirsty person I was looking for water – wherever I could find it – in a pipe, bottle, well, river, etc. – similarly I too was thirsty for Paramatma – I was willing to accept Paramatma from any country, race, language, form – I just wanted Paramatma of the present! The thirsty keep looking for Paramatma. I was looking for him everywhere and while searching I reached Shiv Baba and when He gave me self-realisation and sent me into a trance for three days my search ended and my inner journey began. I accepted Him as Paramatma. I was mentally prepared to accept anyone as Paramatma as long as it quenched that inner thirst. Even if you find Paramatma it is no use, you are not thirsty – you are giving importance to form, you have to give importance to the divine inner form (swaroop) because it is important as to who is quenching your thirst. After accepting Shiv Baba as Paramatma, only then I could receive His knowledge. Now you need to introspect whether your thirst for search is awakened – if yes then your inner journey has begun, else it is of no use. Thirst is important! Paramatma is Universal Consciousness and is present in every atom and particle on earth. But we are thick skinned, we are not thirsty. Till the time we are not present amidst an ocean of souls we do not get spiritual experience. Paramatma is a collective of souls. It is necessary to awaken such a thirst within. This is a good time to do so. This is the time which Saint Dnyaneshwar was waiting for. He wrote about self-realisation, but till you get experience no would believe it. He told his Guru, Nivruttinath saying that you told me to write so I wrote. When Dnyaneshwar Maharaj asked whether he should give awakening, Nivruttinath said no, you are not authorised – that time will come 700-800 years later – today is that time. Paramatma comes, but he does not leave his limits, it is not that he could not provide self-realisation, it was just that he was not authorised so he did not (awaken) – but he did awaken people about the knowledge of self-realisation, but he did not give self-realisation. He thought of everybody – the divine inner form gives uniformly just as the sun and wind give equally to all – the divine inner form also does the same. Each should receive equally, in that time kriya shakti was also in operation. The Gurus gave that experience to that one able person and passed on that knowledge from generation to generation. On the one hand there was the power of desire / will power (iccha shakti) and on the other karya (Guru-karya) – but these were not taking place for the last 800 years. This will now occur in the Guru Shakti Dham – as will power and power of (performing) work are coming together in there too. This festival is of that union. The souls who have joined in this festival are those souls who want this to go forward for the next 800 years – (while saying this Swamiji became very emotional – wiping tears from His eyes with his handkerchief). In the Himalayas – 800 years ago – they collected it and preserved it and expressed a desire that a pure and holy medium should be created who will take this spiritual experience, pass on this experience and make it flow in the same divine inner form – then with their power of desire (will power) they created a medium to deliver this spiritual experience to society. They created this path to reach society. Many times I start doing work as soon as I get orders – no questions, no why and why not – there are no questions in my mind. As time passes I get answers to those questions which arise automatically. I had a question - Guru Shakti Dham is being created which is good, mediums are coming forward, so the form should be that of my Gurus and not mine. I got my answer during the establishment of the Guru Shakti Dham in Melbourne. Like we need the Narmada river water – but it should come in the form which we are capable of receiving. If it comes in the tap we can take it but if the river actually comes we will not be able to take as it will then be called a flood. Similarly society does not have the capacity to take the energy in the form of my Gurus but they can accept the form of the medium. Secondly introspect on what has happened in life. How did we get this spiritual experience at first – we got this experience in collectivity, so definitely it has grown in collectivity hence collectivity is important – collectivity does not mean a crowd of bodies it means a group of souls. So many temples – drop this ego and come to reality. Till this atmosphere was created the work on this Guru Shakti Dham did not start. For 10 years efforts were on but it did not happen and the bhoomi pujan (prayer for purification of land) did not take place. A yagna with 1021 havan kunds was required. You forgot everything for some time. I told Rambhai I will not be able to walk around such a big parikrama (walking around the area of the havan), but I did it because of collectivity of souls present – everybody was just a soul. In the past this did not happen. 25 tonnes of stone has come for this construction – tomorrow we will have the bhoomi pujan for the Guru Shakti Dham and work will start tomorrow.

The oldest Guru Shakti Dham(GSD) told me that I will not move – this Deep Meditation Practicum will be for a new GSD. The old GSD will work as it is. New Darshan Shibir will only be on Poornima (full moon day). The sadhaks navel chakra has opened up, hence till this happened they did not think of others and the future. In the Himalayas we experienced because of those Gurus. It is our duty to ensure that this reaches future generations for the next 800 years -this CM is that festival! This event was pre-decided – who will participate, who won’t, etc. – future generations will proudly say that my grandparents were a witness to this (creation). You are becoming a witness to a very big event of which the future generations will be proud. You think instilling life in the Divine Idol is easy – nothing is easy. As it is difficult – only when we pass through it we know why and not by reading about it. I remember when the first Divine Idol work started, the sculptor who had come for the work from Mumbai found out that it was an idol of a living Guru, he refused to do it. This is because he too had a Guru and out of love for his Guru he made his idol and presented it to his Guru. When his Guru saw it he said that as you have made my idol I will have to put my life into it and by doing so gave up his body. I explained to him why I this is different but he did not accept. Instilling life is difficult without giving up life. When your Guru-karya becomes dearer to you than your life then only it happens. There are 8 Divine Idols. Many sadhaks fast for months and make their body so weak that the soul is forced to leave the body. I told them to meditate and leave this body thus, but they are not ready. The love for the body still remains. I will tell you. You climb a mountain and you love it then and once you reach the peak who would want to come down? It is Guruma who catches me by my legs and pulls me down. (Guruma laughs into her hands). It is my wish that every person gets that. When I first came to Mumbai and gave the spiritual experience people had doubts – they said this has never happened, maybe it is the fan or the AC air. There was a lady disciple of Swami Muktananda who came and read from a book about the Kundalini Shakti and how it can be awakened in the presence of a living Guru – through His touch, will power, presence – but now that power of oath has been established in the Divine Idol (Mangal Murti).

Whoever asks for self-realisation will get it – this is the result of 800 years of iccha shakti (power of desire / will power). Prior to this it was not possible. An old samadhist (entombed) Guru will lead you to your living Guru. This will be the first idol which will be able to do so – this is the progress of the Guru Energies. There is nothing greater than self-realisation – you keep asking for one chocolate, ask for the full box and see what happens. Why is it difficult, why has no Guru ever done it? I received answers to these questions in Australia. This has not been done before because only idols of God were made – they are made of those forms which are already established. The life instilling ceremony is done by saints and mahatmas and the saint/mahatma remains secure. But when the idol is of the medium, establishing his life, his inner form, his form and one oath (sankalp) then people start accepting that the Guru is the form of God and start accepting him as God. In whatever form he is, then he has to remain in that state all the time. This is the problem which is created - now I face this problem. When a person stays in 17 degrees temperature – he is used to that. You pull him down to 45 degrees centigrade – it will affect his body, it will damage the body. As GSD’s are being created - people having full faith in Godlike-ness don’t feel this – like trustees, Pramukh Acharyas, management board – they come to me with problems. The activities are increasing – in future I will not speak. My dog has ten puppies, when there were too many the dog used to kick them away, and when she got tired and could not do so she just lay down – my state is similar, one day I will just stop – it is difficult living as Paramatma. Wearing white while working in a coal mine is not possible. I have not made anyone a medium because I did not want him to face such problems. The purity which I have maintained, a future medium will not be able to do so hence I have made the Divine Idol the medium. There is no difference between the divine idol and the medium. The medium goes to the airport etc, divine idol is in a better state. I have only one advantage, I can go from country to country, place to place – other than this there is no difference. The idol was created with this objective. This is a global work and every continent will have a GSD which will benefit people of all races, colour, religions, etc. A seeker who is thirsty will find water wherever available to drink. The Guru Energies have established a network in all continents. Only Africa remains, that too will happen soon.

Last month I went to Australia, in Melbourne the GSD was ready one year ago. The life has been instilled now. The idol was sent through Fedex. It halted in Singapore and then in Hong Kong and Fedex was surprised and said never in its history has a package taken two halts before delivery. Now Guru-karya will take place in these two countries. You can go to Melbourne and visit. I went from Melbourne to Perth and then to Sydney and then back to Melbourne, where the life instilling ceremony took place. There were two incidents which were notable – one, we could not make out who were married couples – there was so much oneness amongst them – Guruma and I used to try and guess who was whose wife! That was the best example. The GSD was created by 18 people there was such good love amongst them. They were ready for establishing an Ashram – but I told them to increase their collectivity and then they could buy 100 acres – the more you spread you feet I will ensure you have enough cloth to cover that area. The second thing was a TV channel C-31 called me for an interview. I said I could not come so they came home to conduct the interview and telecast the same. After the programme a person from Surat came to meet me. He asked me there are such poor people in India, he spoke for an hour on this topic. He felt he wanted to do something about it – I wrote a 2 page letter to him asking him to meditate for 45 days and to pray for the betterment of his cause. If a close friend dies, light a lamp and pray for the progress of his soul, you will feel lighter. If you do something for the GSD, you will feel better. Drop a rupee every day, similarly from your earnings give something – I have never asked for anything for 20 years, but you do it, a fixed amount every month and you will connect with it – when the tree grows you will make it – but in the next 800 years millions of people will benefit. You connect with it - whether you give or not the work of GSD will never stop for want of money. Nobody can create a banyan tree. You are those fortunate people who were present at its creation. I do not allow people to do ‘namaskar’ but during the ‘namaskar vidhi’ I call you and ask you to do so. I know – hence I am asking you to give – millions will benefit. The GSD is moving from impermanence to permanence. The GSD is being created – connect with it and attain inner peace.

After Australia I went to Singapore. The development which has taken place in Singapore is immense – the Chinese have progressed. This was the biggest programme outside India and their confidence is up – they have asked me to come next year and they will make a bigger programme. After Singapore I went to Malaysia where I got to see two things at the same time. Sadhaks say they believe in me and they have the sense of ‘samarpan’, but if there is samarpan then the physical sense should go. There were two sadhikas – one was pregnant and she climbed mountains, came into caves, garden and was with Swamiji wherever He went all the time. She also came into a boat for a boat ride in the dark to see fireflies for two hours. A samarpit sadhika (a totally surrendered sadhika) sat between me and Guruma – this lady had the fear of the boat capsizing, she got up and left saying she was afraid of the dark. I told her come in the dark, light is with you, but she left. I told her she will never be able to do so again. The boat ride was beautiful with fireflies glittering in the dark. I felt that this sadhika had the opportunity of spending two hours in the Gurus proximity but she left. A pregnant lady came with problems but she stayed and the other one with no problems left because she did not have the sense of samarpan. Relations between sadhaks should be at the soul-level else it is not good. Whatever the state, the situation with us – we should be able to balance it. Guru-karya is important – how to do it – Ambareeshji had a problem for a month, he never let me know about it. There is no problem is there which remains concealed from me, it always get exposed. But he maintained his pain and because of my family’s support I could give my discourse. So take Ambareeshji’s example as that of an ideal sadhak. I have given a lot of my personal family time to you. In this manner I thank my family, without their help I would not have been able to do this. They are my father – they never bring their problems to me during events – hence such progress takes place nicely. I give them my heartfelt thanks.

Science is progressing – people will come and conduct research on the GSD. 15 years ago when I spoke about auras, doctors had made fun of me. Now such machines are available. You try – bring a friend and make him pray for 3 days for self-realisation – it will happen. This is a living experience. This is a new invention of the Guru Energies which will be received globally like the radio, mobile. The inventions took place in one country and have spread globally. Similarly this invention is for the benefit of the world. These idols are unique, unrivalled. All the idols will give the same divine experience. This oath – now I have nothing left to achieve – I only feel that you all should get my state. Let it go – people are now selecting Gurus. Are you greater that the guru? Be ready to accept all Gurus equally – when you open your heart thus, then you will start experiencing what the Gurus experience. You keep your eyes closed, lots of things are happening – look, examine lots of things which are happening – you are married; you have children, family etc. The Jain monks have nothing, why are they coming to me? They have not come for material stuff. The come again and again, they take and leave satisfied – are we never going to think of this, introspect?! Why do they walk for 500km and come? What do they get? They experience what is there but not seen! Everything will be visible if open the eyes of your soul, close the physical eyes. It is necessary to experience, to absorb – you keep saying shower grace, shower grace – nobody can give grace, that is Paramatma’s kindness, to obtain grace you have to be capable of receiving it, then only you get, nobody can give. It is a waterfall, it is falling, make your house there, pray to it to fall on you – it will not help. By sitting in your room you are asking – you go below the waterfall you will bathe automatically. You need to completely surrender. Once we completely surrender we will become capable of receiving, and then only you will receive. Guru-karya is a strong medium to receive grace, but it should be Guru-karya and not Karya-Guru. While doing it you should not think of others, if you do that then it is karya-guru. While doing Guru-karya you remember the Guru it should be samarpan, samarpan, samarpan! Meaning accept every situation! Many times sadhaks face problems – they say please solve this problem then I will meditate – I tell them no, meditate without expectations then the problem will get solved by itself. I have given the same knowledge to you which I received from my Gurus. This happens because you meditate with expectations. Meditate for 30 minutes without expectation. Go back with two promises – you give something for the GSD and meditate regularly by donating 30 minutes every day to me. Whether you meditate or not, sit – the body will object, the mind will object, the intellect will object – with passage of time all three will get habituated and then you will not even realise when you attained a meditative state. In GSD you don’t have to meditate, it just happens.

In the future security is going to be a big issue. To save yourself from this your aura should prove to be of help. It is not necessary to explain aura. With regular meditation a small world is created around you which gives you security from within and without. Nowadays suicide amongst the youth is increasing because of imbalance. 16-25 year olds are committing suicide. The aura can protect them. Such people separate their identity from all. Only with meditation you connect with the collectivity of millions which will give you inner security and outer security and protect you from accidents. Create your aura around you, if every person does this, then maybe there can be world peace; else this is all talk, and is not possible. You create your own world, take it anywhere and your world will go with you. Such a secure environment can be created around you globally. The Guru Energies have created GSDs all over the world where you can obtain a secure environment. The first GSD is being established tomorrow. You will be a witness to this tomorrow – it is my pure wish that you understand its importance. Namaskar!

The discourse ended at 11am after which Swamiji and Guruma left one after the other to the blowing
of conches. There was a break from 11am to 2pm. At 2 pm Ambareeshji gave a talk motivating the sadhaks saying that you need a little bit of madness to be in Samarpan and do things. He ended by encouraging everyone to shout Jai Ho! while raising their right hand, and the whole hall gave a resounding jai ho to the accompaniment of raised right hands! At 2.30pm Veenaji spoke about Madhuchaitanya in a new vein and was joined by Anuragji who gave a presentation on the new interactive e-magazine of Madhuchaitanya. He gave a demonstration in video on how to download and install the app.A presentation on the GSD and its design and estimate were then given by the architect. From 2.45pm to 3.45pm there was a break for tea.

During the tea break I told Ambareeshji that we were finding it a challenge to motivate Mumbai sadhaks to do Guru-karya of fund raising by taking participation bibs for SCMM 2016. I suggested to him that why don’t we actually have our own Samarpan Marathon, and he said great let’s do it in Rajkot. I said done deal. He told us that we could meet during the Anushthan and chalk out the future plan of action. Rajkot sadhaks said that December would be the ideal month for holding the marathon. So 2016 will have two marathon for Samarpan – SCMM 2016 on January 17 and Samarpan Rajkot Marathon in December! After tea-break we re-assembled in the hall at 3.45pm for Her Holiness Guruma’s discourse.

In the break for tea I met Ambareeshji at the entrance to the VIP section. I started speaking with him and told him that I am disappointed with the response of sadhaks to the Mumbai Marathon. I mentioned it appears that the sadhaks just want to have fun and do not want to do anything towards fund raising which is the primary objective of the Mumbai Marathon apart from propagating the cause of the participating NGO. He nodded, and I told him it would be great if we could organise a Samarpan Marathon where we could showcase Samarpan as well as raise funds for a cause. Coincidentally Jayant Patelji, BM Patelji and Jigna Gohelji were standing with us and Ambareeshji said let us do it in Rajkot and let us chalk out the plan during this Anushthan. I said great, let us go for it. I then went for tea along with Harish. After relaxing a bit we left for Her Holiness Guruma’s discourse.

4.15pm Her Holiness Guruma arrived to the sound of conch shells being blown. She began her discourse: Welcome to all sadhaks – all pure souls. I will start with a story – an inspiring incident. Once upon a time a Rishi was performing penance on a mountain. He used to spend years in penance and then come down to a village to help solve their problems. The villagers used to be very happy. He would then return to the mountains thereafter. In this manner he had come to a village and in the evenings he would sit and give discourses. Questions could also be asked. After every discourse a youth asked, “Is there a path by taking which we can always be happy?” He replies, “Yes”. He asked what it was. The Rishi asked, “Who else wants to know?” He said all those who want to know should come to the bottom of the mountain at a certain location early next morning. At that place there were lots of stones. He asked everyone to pick up a stone and start walking. They walked for some time, and after some time the weight of the stones started pulling them down. They complained that the weigh is too heavy, so he said drop the stones after which walking became easier. After walking for some more time they rested below a tree. He asked them how it felt. They all said we felt good after dropping the stones. Then he said that if you walk carrying stones in the form of pain, grief, anger, jealousy, etc. then life is difficult, but if you drop these stones we will find peace. We know all this, but do we put it into practise? We know that all such big stones should be put down, we can only do so by complete surrender (samarpan). If we do this then there are no problems. Surrender all such problems to Gurudev. The easiest is not to allow such problems to come in our lives. But if it has come then what to do? Even after surrendering the problems we still remember them. Pray to Gurudev to make me surrender all my stones to you. Surrender all your stones to Gurudev here and then go. You all know this, but you do not feel it from within. We do not realise how much clearance from within happens here. If you feel it then remember the feeling and then maybe you will be able to do it better, feel whether it is the truth. The churning of the ocean (samudra manthan) is nothing but the awakening of the kundalini energy – both God and the Devil are within. Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh are resident in all: Brahma is the power of creation – gives birth. Vishnu – power to give – these are elements which have been explained as God and what is negative is the Devil. Everyone does the work of taking care of family, friends, guests, poor – not beggars but people we know who are in need – we help them. In the past, villagers used to keep grains, fruits, vegetables in the dark on the doorstep of those who were in need. This donation was done in secret so that people would not feel bad. The third is Shiva Element – death and moksha (liberation). Who does Shiva destroy – it destroys all the evil elements within us. All Goddesses to reside within us – Saraswati (art), Lakshmi (happiness), Gauri Swaroopa – the pure and pious soul (Parvati). All these elements are present – Durga and Mahakali are also present within. Over all this presides Devraj Indra. Indra means the king of our five senses. Our soul has control over these. If we have control over our senses then the soul is paramount. There are so many devils within us who are asleep. With meditation our senses remain in control because our soul controls everything – then only good deeds happen through us. We stay in society, work, have our business, stay in touch through tablets, phones, email and social media. We receive through this – can we leave society, stop speaking on the phone, stop emailing? Then what should we do to save ourselves? That is meditation. Donate 30 minutes to Gurudev, don’t turn back. When anything has to grow, it takes time – farmers know this, grain takes time to grow, jowar grows in 3-4 days, if we need to plant chickpeas or peanuts or coconuts then it takes more time, much more time! For each of us to take seed – it takes time, it depends on one’s state. If it is taking time do not be disappointed – it means you are a long distance race horse – just stay the course.
What is spiritual experience – when you meditate for a long time, then an internal transformation takes place, your friends / relatives who see you after a long time will say you have changed; you used to become angry quickly, now that is not the case – this means your internal wiring has become strong. If such changes have taken place then it is so good. A sadhika was driving me around She narrated an experience which happened in exactly the way Swamiji mentions – somebody told her to join Samarpan Meditation. When she went to the centre somebody told her that she will have give away all images/idols of Gods in her house. She told her husband this and her husband told her to stop meditating. She stopped meditating and she came to Shirdi 2-3 years later and prayed to Baba to lead her to her living Guru. After pleading with Shirdi Baba she returned to her hotel. She had come with her friends and she had 3-4 extra days of leave, so while her friends returned home, she came to Mumbai and bought a ticket to go to Ahmedabad just on a whim. She sat in the train from Mumbai. While chatting with her co-passengers in the train she mentioned that she was looking for a Guru. One of the persons mentioned that my daughter is in Germany and she has a Guru – a living Guru who stays in Dandi. He immediately WhatsApped his daughter and obtained all the necessary information to guide this lady. He told her to get off at Navsari, take an auto right upto the Ashram gate and pay only Rs. 100. She came to the Ashram and saw the photo and realised this was the same Guru whose meditation she had stopped. I was in the Ashram that day for an Editorial Board meeting, and she came out of the GSD and smiled at me. She asked me how long I had been meditating. Then she asked me about giving up the idols of Gods – I told her this was not required. I told her that there is God in my house also, and you do not need to do this. She asked me how I was so sure and what my name was. I told her I am Guruma, and when she realised I was Swamiji’s wife she was sure that now she had got the right information. She was happy and said that now I can meditate. She had a problem conceiving and already had 4-5 miscarriages. Every year she used to run the marathon. That year too she trained for the marathon and went fully prepared, but she forgot to wear her running shoes. She returned home and on whim carried out a home pregnancy test. It gave a positive result – she was protected by Swamiji – she gave birth to a daughter. The Guru Energies take care of everything provided you have faith. We all have faults, but they will all slowly disappear. When we have come from mud we will go back to mud, then why do we have this ego? Let go of everything, improve and connect with each other.

Samarpan now has a global connection – there is unified collectivity, spiritual development, progress, moksha state now – there is no pain, no ego, nothing to achieve, nothing to give, no body then there is no sense of body, if there is no sense of body then there is nothing once we rise above that! What is mud will merge with mud. But the inner form of God can be merged with God with a pure wish – let us all make a unified effort to give Gurudev this as a birthday gift! We cannot give anything more than that. The medium is not a body, He is a medium, and when your soul merges with that medium, then that same nectar starts flowing from you – then how are we different? Then we will become a part of the medium, we will become a part of universal consciousness. We means we all. Gurudev, Guru Energies and all us souls become one – this is Gurudev’s pure wish. We are such pure souls that we are here on such a sacred occasion to witness the development of a GSD. We are so lucky to take joy of this moment. We should share this with everyone. This huge collectivity of souls where the GSD is come up, such a holy, pure and consciousness filled place – nothing can be greater than that. Why don’t we all remain just as souls – today no name, no description, no gender – just become one with Gurudev and then forever a part of this will live within us. If we do this then really it will be possible. Here we are all souls – why don’t we make our homes also like the Ashram. No this is a body, this is a soul. Then remember that you are not a body, but a soul – remember this every moment. Then you will have no physical problems. The body gives rise to all physical problems – ego, anger, sickness, emotions, etc. Try it – make your home an ashram. This is possible only when you keep yourself connected with Guru-karya 24/7 – it does not mean Guru-karya at the ashram or at the centre. Accept that all work which you perform is Guru-karya. Try this at a physical level – keep a 10 feet environment around you clean. Start with your won room – cleanliness should begin at home. Gurudev’s room is prim and proper. If somebody comes to His room and moves a chair, then that is the first thing He corrects when He enters the room as an out of place chair disturbs the energy of the room. When we do this for 10 feet around us, if we pick up waste and put it in the dustbin it is good, if we see someone littering then we should immediately tell them to stop it. The teacher in me gets awakened if I see something like this – then I really lay it on thick. One day we had gone to a public garden and a family was walking ahead of us, the father plucks a flower and gives it to his son, who plays with it for some time and throws it down. This scene got repeated twice more and when he did it the third time I shouted at him and asked him why he was plucking flowers. He was upset and he asked me whether this garden belonged to my father, I shouted back does it belong to your father? He did not expect that, I asked him what kind of values are you giving your child, don’t the flowers look good on the plants, if all fathers visiting here pluck flowers for their children there will be no flowers? Why don’t you teach your child to respect nature, and after a sound lecture, he looked sheepish and said sorry, it won’t happen again. So if you see anything wrong happening you should put your foot down and object. Energy remains positive if there is cleanliness.

You spend most of your time in two places – home and office, and the ladies at home and with friends. Keep you relations good in both the places. Give your frank opinion but do so without any bitterness. There was a story which I received on WhatsApp – there were two brothers who were farmers. They fought over a small issue, and the issue got so bad that the younger brother dug a big ditch to separate their two farms. On seeing this, the elder brother got so angry that he called a carpenter to build a wall so tall that nobody would be able to even see across the wall. He told the carpenter that he had some business in town and he would return in a few days and the wall should be ready when he returned. After 3-4 days when he returned he was surprised to see that the carpenter had built a bridge across the ditch instead of a wall. And as he angrily came forward to question the carpenter, he saw his younger brother running across the bridge to greet him with tears and ask for his forgiveness. He said I said so many nasty things to you, I dug this ditch so that I would never see you again, but you are so noble you built a bridge across this ditch. Soon all was forgotten and the brothers asked the carpenter to stay for a few days and enjoy their hospitality. The carpenter said no, he had to go as there were many people out there who needed bridges to be built. So you should help in building relations and bridging broken relations. The easiest way is to build a 10 foot cool environment around us – pray to Gurudev from the bottom of your heart and if it is worth fulfilling then it will get fulfilled. You can do so with drama, with flowers or just from the heart, purely from the heart, so that I can create a 10 feet heaven around you. As soon as you pray it will happen – you have absolutely no idea what plans Swamiji has made for you. Achieve that state and you will receive.

In Kuantan in Malaysia we went to visit caves, waterfall, etc and maybe there were 40-50 people – sadhaks had come from all over by bus, cars, etc. After reaching there we realised that the tourist spot was closed. The sadhaks requested for it to be opened. Under normal circumstances they are very strict and would not have opened it at all. He said it was not possible, then after seeing people of different nationalities, something got into him and he said he will speak with his superiors. After sometime he got the permission and he opened the gates and let us in – it was like our own private waterfall – absolutely heavenly – no other tourists just the 40-5- people who had come that day with Swamiji. You get lots of experiences, just do not let ego come into your life. Always thank the Guru Energies for any such spiritual experiences. Those sadhikas gave credit to Swamiji. Guru Energies are with us, we are eager to flow with the Guru Energies, we want to do it, but what is it which stops us? These pain, anger, ego are all related to the body. Every moment remember that I am a pure soul, I am a holy soul, I have taken many births, in many countries, in many languages, in many religions, in many races, in different genders but I have maintained my purity and holiness throughout. I am not affected by religion, race, language, gender because I was pure and holy in the past, am pure and holy in the present and will remain pure and holy in the future. I am not affected by time, place or situations because I rise above them and advise the body what to do and what not to do. My only religion is humanity, my only language is love, the entire world is my home, all humans are my family, I am neither male nor female, I have never taken birth and I will never die, I am not affected either by sadness or happiness as I am beyond these – I am a pure soul, I am a holy soul. When you feel this and remind yourself every moment, then for such moments we will connect with the Guru Energies. The more you connect the purer you will become. You won’t need the baby-walkers like lamps, Gods, prayers, group meditation, etc. – once you get used to dropping all your stones and move as a soul. The more you connect with the Guru Energies, then you should not need any of these aids to meditation – you become a part of the collective, free of physical feelings, connected with the Guru Energies. Jai Baba Swami. – This beautiful discourse came straight from Guruma’s heart it was as much at the soul-level, filled with consciousness as any discourse given by Swamiji.

After Guruma’s discourse there was a dinner break in which we decided to go and see the exhibition. In the morning we had seen the Samarpan events pictorial exhibition but the Jain Muni and Samarpan exhibition was the one we were really interested in. We had tried in the morning after lunch, but there was such a huge crowd that entry was impossible. We stood in line and as luck would have it we saw Hemangini didi walking towards us, I called out to her and she escorted us inside and gave us a wonderful guided tour. The exhibition showcased in detail Swamiji’s journey and His connection with the Jain religion. In Guruma’s words, “Samarpan Meditation is that thread which is capable of connecting and keeping connected every religion in the world with every soul. In this exhibition the confluence of the Jain religion with Samarpan Meditation has been exhibited in an unique manner. Congratulations to everybody.”

Guruma's message on the exhibition

After the exhibition we went for dinner. As we finished our dinner, I saw Arun Desaiji, his wife, Maitri Gajjarji, Ashish Kalawalkar and Harish Suriya sitting and chatting with Chaneeji and her husband Himanshuji. I joined them and while chatting I casually mentioned that Samarpan will have its own marathon in December 2016 in Rajkot. Chaneeji’s eyes lit up and she said wow, HImanshu’s company has already organised two marathon’s in Ahmedabad. It was like Swamiji guiding me to this table and telling me don’t worry everything is set up – you just have a pure wish and the Guru Energies will ensure that things will work out smoothly. After speaking with Ambareeshji I had told myself I will worry about the organisational aspect later – in fact I had told him, “sabh ho jayega”. And literally it appears that Swamiji immediately granted that wish! I left along with Harish Rao, Khamankarji and Sridhar for the main hall for the evening cultural program at 7.45pm
At 8.00pm Her Holiness Guruma and His Holiness Swamiji took their places one after another to the sound of conches being blown. Parasbhai announced the start of the cultural program. The dances took place in the following sequence:
1    1)  Navsari centre performed a dance on the theme ‘Guru paduka kya hai’ to the chant Namo Namaha.
      2)  Virar centre performed a dance about Samarpan Meditation with live music – the music had great tempo and tremendous energy with great vibrations. When I looked up, Swamiji was sending vibrations by waving his hands – all in all very enchanting.
      3)    Bhuj centre performed a dance to the bhajan ‘Maula mere maula kya mange’. This was based on the theme of a seed waiting to take root and grow removing the rocks which were blocking its path. This too had great vibrations.
      4)      Juhu centre then performed the marathon 2015 Kingfisher Bindaas Bandhe award winning skit on the environment.
      5)      Surat centre then performed a dance to the bhajan – ‘Satguru ne bulaya hai’.
      6)      Rajkot centre then performed their dance.
      7)      Goa centre then performed probably the best dance so far to live music and tremendous applause. There was great energy.
A dance performance in progress

At 9.00 pm I then had to go on stage to talk about the forthcoming marathon 2016. I accompanied Ruchitaji, Malavji, Deepaliji along with Ambareeshji on stage. Ruchitaji spoke about the marathon, the expectations, inviting people participation, etc. I then spoke about participating in two marathons next year, one SCMM 2016 and then Samarpan Rajkot Marathon in December 2016! I told them the ‘anubhuti’ about having a pure wish and then how Swamiji had lead me straight to a sadhak who had already organised two marathons and who could handle the entire event through his company. Malavji invited sadhaks to come with design themes for ‘Whole World is One Family’ for the stage backdrop and designs for T-shirts as well as ideas for skits based on our theme. We then played the marathon theme song – sung live by Hrishikesh and Akash with all of us on stage accompanying them in chorus and waving our hands above or heads. Ambareeshji also spoke about the marathon and said that a degree of madness is required to have Samarpan and do its events. We then left the stage at about 9.30pm and went and took our seats.

Parasbhai announced that fireworks display had been planned. Before that he said that Umedbhai Tandel wanted to say a few words. Umedbhai and his team came on stage. Umedbhai mentioned that as Swamiji for the first time in 20 years had asked His sadhaks for something we must fulfil it. He told sadhaks to write down the amount they can give over the next three years for the GSD along with their contact number on the back of the Entry Card which had to be returned on exit next day in exchange for the Prasad. He then asked people to come forward and write their commitment on a piece of paper and send it on stage. After this statement the entire evening program became a fund collection drive in which sadhak after sadhak came and stood in line offering their commitment to the cause. The sadhaks names were being announced on stage along with their amounts to the shouts of ‘Bolo Baba Swami Maharaj ki jai’. This went on till 1.30am I was told by which time a sum in excess of Rs. 8 crores was collected. Earlier in the afternoon the architect of the GSD had shown the design presentation and plan of the GSD along with the initial cost estimate of around Rs. 9.50 crores. Umedbhai mentioned that tomorrow is Swamiji’s birthday and we should give him a gift by collecting the commitments for the entire amount before that. At 11pm I left to retire for the night, as the next day I had to leave by 3.30pm as Sridhar had to reach Mumbai airport by 8.15pm for his flight to Bangalore. I had heard about such fund collection drives by Jains for their temples where it almost takes the form of an auction, but I somehow felt very uncomfortable with the manner in which the stage was taken over – there was tremendous ‘bhaav’ no doubt for providing our Guru mauli with His gift – but both Swamiji and Guruma have said time and again that donations should be made in secret (gupt daan) hence I am confused as to how the names along with amounts were being announced. The concept of secret donation was given a go-by. Anyways I am sure there is an explanation for this and maybe His Holiness will provide it later.

8.11.2015 - Birthday of the Medium
I woke up at 3am and finished my morning ablutions by 3.30am and went into the bedding hall and packed my bag. I changed and went and sat for meditation on the bench in the garden. It was very cool and pleasant – full of consciousness. I was in meditation for maybe an hour or so, after which I returned to my bed. People were already up and now getting ready. At 5.30am we all left for the main hall for morning meditation. Rambhai started the meditation at 6.00 am sharp. After the Guru Ahavan and Guru mantra I started getting the fragrance of rose and I was in quite a blissful state. After the meditation, there was a break from 6.50 to 7.45am for breakfast. We were asked to gather together for the birthday celebrations at 7.45am. After breakfast we again went into the main hall for the final time of the three day event.

Meditation in progress at 6am

At 8am Her Holiness Guruma entered to the sound of conches. After that the chant – ‘Shivakrupanand Swami Namo Namaha, Baba Swami Namo Namaha’ was being played. My eyes were closed and I was in a meditative state – suddenly my sahastrar started vibrating – it was like my heart was beating on the crown of my head, I sensed His Holiness coming and in a couple of minutes the conch started blowing and His Holiness Swamiji took His place on the stage. At 8.20am Swamiji spoke, “Salutations to all pious souls present here. Today on the occasion of my birthday all of you have gathered here – for this please accept my heartfelt thanks. The birthday is of the body of the medium – but why did the soul have to take birth, without knowing this secret, the birthday is not fulfilled in the real sense. Hence today you go deeper and deeper within and try to remember that secret. The objective of every soul is to attain moksh. Every soul keeps taking birth with only this objective, after taking birth it forgets the objective. This is similar to a farmer from Uttar Pradesh who keeps coming to Mumbai for repaying the debt on his farm. And after some time he forgets why he had come to Mumbai. It is the same with the soul – it ties the soul with the family, relations, job, etc. Similarly you too have taken many births with the desire to attain liberation. This is not possible without self-realisation, it is impossible without understanding that you are just a soul; once you realise this then you will see that you are a soul. There is a progress of the soul, it becomes pure, pious and strong, it then gets control of the body. An ordinary person lives under the influence of the body. In your past birth you have given up the desire of the body, hence lakhs of souls have gathered together from the previous birth, hence it was pre-decided that you will get self-realisation in this birth. Upto now a Guru used to give self-realisation to on disciple – it used to be from one to one. On one side there were lakhs of souls waiting to get self-realisation and on the other hand Gurus used to transfer knowledge from one to one only. So a path needed to be found to resolve this. So the Gurus created a medium whose objective of birth was only to give self-realisation to lakhs of souls – that medium took birth, then all the Gurus transferred their knowledge to Him, and hence we should remember all those Gurus who have transferred their knowledge to the medium whose birthday is today. So my birth has only taken place because of you. If you were not fit for this, this would not have happened, and by attaining self-realisation you have proved my birth to be meaningful. Thanks to all those who have come – because of you I have attained Paramatma – I was just a drop, you have made me an ocean of Samarpan. In Satya Narayan puja you take a betel nut and the priest says that the betel nut is Lord Ganesh, you accept a stone as Ganesh and then bow to him. Similarly when all of you bow to the medium, I accepted my Guru as Paramatma and my receiving capacity became 100% and all knowledge within Him got transferred to me. But inner knowledge is a sphere where no give and take can take place. This happens automatically through samarpan (complete and total surrender) – hence the name is Samarpan Meditation. The more you surrender deeper you go. The Guru’s proximity is only important to the extent of how much use you have made of it for your progress. If it is done for solving personal problems then it is a waste. Now lots of people have questions. With experience we get answers, but a lot of time passes. Hence it is important to ask questions which will provide answers which will benefit all. So ask questions which are new. Think and ask. Your questions show the level you are at. Please ask.

The question and answer session started with Rambhai telling sadhaks not to ask any personal questions and to restrict questions to spirituality.
Q1. I have seen only your photo, why not Guruma’s?
Swamiji: Laughing – ask this question to Guruma.
Guruma: I am one with Swamiji, there is no difference between Swamiji and me hence my photo is not required.

Q2. Happy birthday Swamiji…..whether one should wear astrological gems and stones?
Swamiji: Brahmin is called a seed (not sure whether this is what Swamiji said). When his thread ceremony takes place it is like his second birth in which his kundalini is awakened. A bird also takes birth twice. First, in the form of the egg and then once it breaks out of it. Once self-realisation takes place then these have no meaning. Secondly the more you depend on other things your soul will become weak. Wear this stone, that stone – these stones have an influence on ordinary people, not on you. I don’t have any stone, I have full faith – I have 11 Gurus on whom I have complete faith, once they leave I will not take a single breath. These have no meaning. My horoscope was shown to someone who said that His life is under someone else’s influence. Everyone has to face karma. Meditation helps in facing the karma, its effect disappears. Till the age of 45 years I face my karma but I was in my Guru’s proximity. All this is there for ordinary people and not for sadhaks. You do not know what you have got.

Q3. Can a soul take re-birth after moksh?
Swamiji: No. If some desire remains then only re-birth takes place. If you die with a pending desire, then re-birth will take place because of dissatisfaction. When you die in a state of no desire – you need to meditate regularly for this state. You have to maintain this state till death. In this state when you die there is no reason for re-birth.

Q4. How do we maintain our state in society? How can we maintain our state?
Swamiji: One month after honeymoon the life is the best. One’s whole life is not a honeymoon. (laughter and applause from sadhaks). Remember your honeymoon and live the rest of your life. Remember your good experiences and write them down. The more you remember your good experiences your chitta will go to that and you will feel good. Lotus grows in muck but it still blooms. Our attention should be on the lotus and mot on the muck. You do the same, become a lotus. Secondly, we get complaints of – I am leaving Samarpan because of XYZ. You came because of your mother, if I kick you out or you get kicked out by me go, else you have come to take the fragrance of roses and not to be affected by thorns. Wherever you stay in society does not matter, it is important where your attention is. Make a diary of good events and you forget the bad ones. Write all good events and keep reading them again and again. These are the golden moments of my life – you could give this title. I sat in a train and aided in a delivery (of a baby). I stay in any place – it does not matter – I am doing a delivery even now (applause and laughter). Those girls who meditate regularly receive easily, but not the others. Some people deliberately perform c-section on the 8th – I cannot help them.

Q5. You keep saying, “light your lamp”. How do we know if our lamp is lit?
Swamiji: Thirst for Guru should rise within. He will not pay attention to the physical aspect he will focus on spiritual experience. You need to have a thirst to meet the Guru deep within you. If there is no receiving you will not get, if you increase your thirst then your chitta goes within. You need a medium in your life who has already gone within, till he does not come in our life and takes us within you will keep searching outside, in temples, in idols, etc. Then when it (chitta) goes within you will stop searching outside, you will realise that you are going deeper. You will not see faults of others. Once the chitta goes within, (1) you will stop seeing other’s faults, (2) you will start seeing your own faults and (3) you will stop looking for God and you will experience God within. You will accept Paramatma as the medium who has given you the experience of universal consciousness. The more you bend the purer you become and you start going deeper within. Small illnesses will stop occurring and your addictions will go away. No wrong things will remain in your life. Light your lamp within. You will never have bad energy around you so you won’t do any bad thing. You will find only light around 20 feet of yourself. Create such an aura so that no one will come within 20 feet of you. The world’s darkness will never end – you can light up your lamp and have a 20 feet world around you – your aura!

Q6. Sadhika crying continuously tries to voice her question. Swamiji tells her to cry first, lots of people who think they are strong are reduced to this. That is why I said come on stage and ask. Swamiji said you are your Mummy’s darling (lalvan hai tu) – your heart chakra is blocked. She then frames her question in a choked voice – Can one pray for the soul of a person who dies? I come to know when someone is going to die.
Swamiji: Keep your attention on the sahastrar. If you are getting to know prior information on births also then you are balanced. If you are getting information only about impending death then that is negative. Actually there is a black aura which is created when a person is about to die and when we see that black aura we realise that the person is going to die. When we are balanced we should be able to see the good aura along with the bad. If we see only the bad then we need to balance ourselves.

Q7. My head spins while meditating, is that normal?
Swamiji: It will happen for some time. Once your vishuddhi (throat) chakra gets cleared this will get solved. Do not worry. Children of Brahmins who read religious texts start rocking back and forth while meditating. While reading the mantras the Kundalini Energy gets awakened and that is why the body, not being so pure, starts rocking. But that level of purity does not exist today, it is no longer there. The Guru keeps examining what He is giving, what result is being obtained or not obtained. So much change should come…… jaisa tera gana waise mera bajana – meaning I will play my music according to your song – which means I will give according to your capacity to receive. I feed according to need. I feed according to his need. The objective is to subtly and slowly make you change. The Guru Mantra – ‘Aum Shree Shivkrupanand Swami Namo Namaha’ failed because of this. The mantra has great strength, but you could not experience it – it is like a teacher teaching shorthand, he realises that you do not know English, so then he taught English. The mantra whose effect should take place in three recitals failed to take off, it did not happen and hence it was changed. Now the mantra – I am a pure soul, I am a pious soul is effective – first become pure and pious, and as you sense that, you will realise that the Guru mantra chant will start automatically from within you. The sphere of the simple mantra is vast. It is necessary to purify yourself to the extent that the Guru Mantra starts automatically from within you.

Q8. I will stop speaking after some time and then only those who understand that language will be able to communicate with me. How?
Swamiji: Close your physical eyes and open your inner eyes and then you will see such a large collectivity because of the many Guru Energies which are behind me. Many people are connected. It is necessary to understand that language, the language is vibrations. You learn the language.

Q9. I see Aum everywhere?
Swamiji: You start seeing the Aum because Aum is everywhere. As your state is good you start seeing this.

Q10. How do you know that you should have faith on any person?
Swamiji: In India people have blind faith. In the west it is based on experience. We should have faith based on experience. It should be based only on that. My experience was given by Shiv Baba. I had faith because He gave me the spiritual experience. Once you have complete satisfaction – if you are still searching means you are not satisfied, you will keep looking till you are satisfied – and once you obtain the spiritual experience you stop looking, then you have complete satisfaction. Paramatma is Universal Consciousness which is flowing all the time, it was there, is there and will be there in future, it was always there. If you are in the present then if you have faith you can progress spiritually. The more I accepted Shiv Baba, it made a difference to me not to Him. I became pure and holy and hence I was successful in getting from Shiv Baba. You should have a single pointed focus on one only – He sent me to different Gurus and I went with complete faith – don’t look at the body, look at the Universal Consciousness flowing through them. I never paid attention to any faults, my attention was always on the Gurus Lotus Feet only. Once your focus I fixed there, then greater your faith the deeper the subtle process. Just as the river Ganges flows through clear and dirty areas, I keep looking at sadhaks, some have greater faith and some less, they receive accordingly. Jaisa tera gana waisa mera bajana! Faith should be based on your own spiritual experience.

Q11. I have to cook, have chores and cannot meditate in the morning. Even if I sit for meditation something comes to my mind and I get up. Is it fine if I meditate at any other time?
Swamiji: Don’t meditate in the afternoon or late at night. Morning or in the evening meditate regularly. Wake up early – you need to answer your own question. You should be able to hear the ‘Brahmanaad’ – you have to get that state then you will not feel like getting up from meditation.

At 9.45am Rambhai said that the session is ending now as we do not have time. After the session we were asked to proceed towards the havan site where the bhoomi pujan for the new GSD was to be performed by Swamiji. At 10.15am Swamiji along with His entire family came and took their place for the bhoomi pujan, they were accompanied by a couple of trustees. As Swamiji entered a very light cool, consciousness filled comforting breeze started blowing, which made the heat of the Sun just disappear.  Rambhai started the proceedings and requested Ambareeshji to take the axe and dig a part of the land with a couple of strokes. I was seated a bit far and had limited view of the proceedings, but we did accompany Rambhai in chanting the mantras. By 11.00am the puja got over and Swamiji and family left for the hall for the birthday celebrations to the shouts of Baba Swami Maharak ki Jai, Vandaniya Gurumaiyya ki Jai, Shree Guru Shakti Dham ki Jai, Dandi Ashram ki Jai and Aak ke anand ki Jai.

At 11.30am we gathered in the main hall for the birthday celebrations. A table was brought on stage along with a huge greeting card which was covered. Then as has been the practice Guruma, Ambareeshji, Anuragji and Shaswatiji distributed 61 return gifts to sadhaks based on lucky draw. Sadhaks were given a packet with two sweets, a lamp and two balloons. We immediately inflated the balloons and kept them ready. Ashish Kalawar had become a child and said why should the balloons be burst let us inflate them and release them. We had some fun in doing so, and let a few balloons go flying all over and we had a good hearty laugh! At 12noon the birthday celebrations started with a fireworks display on stage and in the aisles. Sparklers were lit and we all stood up to sing happy birthday to Swamiji to the waving and bursting of balloons and colourful sparklers lighting up the entire hall. As Swamiji cut the cake we all stood up and clapped and sang happy birthday, the energy was enormous and the joy childlike and innocent, like the moment should never end. At around 12.15am the lamp lighting ceremony took place with Anuragji, Ambareeshji lighting the lamps which were in the form of a huge Aum. Then Aarti was performed by all sadhaks after lighting the lamps given to each sadhak along with the Deep Yagna.

Birthday return gift distribution in progress to 61 lucky draw winners

At 1.10pm Swamiji said: When we celebrate someone’s birthday, while going we give a return gift. What is the gift is not important, the gift is a medium to express the feelings and emotions. I want a return gift. You do the ‘namaskar’ (offer salutations) the way I want you to – establish a soul to soul connection – the hotline is switched on. Enjoy the bhajans, they are the medium of my blessings. Do namaskar with full feelings, do not rush, do not talk, there is absolutely no hurry. I am prepared to stay the full day for you. Offer namaskar with full feelings and change your life. There are three announcements: 1) Next year there will be a shibir in Shegaon, 2) A darshan shibir in Mehsana, and 3) One more shibir in Ahmedabad to be taken by Guruma for ladies same as the one 4 years ago. Do not offer namaskar physically – it is to be soul to soul. This is my gift. Namaskar!
After this the bhajans started and all the volunteers starting with kitchen volunteers were asked to offer their namaskar first so that they could then go for their Guru-karya. There was pin drop silence as the bhajans started and the namaskar vidhi started. We enjoyed the energy flowing through the bhajans with eyes closed, soaking in the atmosphere and the energy. At all times Dandi Ashram is filled with consciousness but this time it was even more so with so many momentous events taking place and the feelings and emotions of the sadhaks adding to the positive vibrations which are always inherent in the Ashram. At around 2.15pm we got our turn and established a connect with Swamiji made our prayer and backed out slowly. I went back with the feeling all good things come to an end – I did not want to return, I did not want to leave, but there was no staying as a flight had to be caught to Bangalore. We went had our lunch, and packed and brought our bags out. I asked Dubeyji if he had seen Deepali, he told me she was at the donation counter. I quickly went there and asked her if she was ready to go, she said that she was waiting for Marathon forms which were to come and that she had neither eaten nor done the namaskar vidhi. I asked her to go and that I would man the counter for her. In the meantime, Harish, Ramaniji and Sridharji came with their bags. It was 3pm, I told them what had happened, then I told Harish to collect the Prasad for all of us. He did that and then he said, give me the car keys I will get the car out on to the main driveway so that we could leave immediately on Deepali’s arrival. I had fixed a mental time of leaving of 3.30pm – by 3.20 Deepali came after eating and performing the namaskar vidhi, we quickly exited took her Prasad, put her car in the boot and took our seats. It was exactly 3.30pm. We shared experiences on the way back, as usual there was light banter. We halted at Parsy Dairy and partook of our favourite wada pav and spicy chutney. Deepali got dropped off first at around 7.30pm, then Harish at Andheri and Sridhar at the airport at 8.07pm. I kiddingly apologised to Sridhar for dropping him 8 minutes late. He laughed and said come on yaar, your driving makes me keep my chitta on Swamiji all the time – my daughter will love to sit with you and enjoy your driving. I laughed and said great – next time. After that I dropped off Ramaniji at Dadar and reached home around 9pm, perfectly in time for dinner.
I hope you all have enjoyed this long narrative – but I am sure you will be able to feel the vibrations and the energy as it takes you ‘live’ back into the atmosphere of the Chaitanya Mahotsav festival. I am sure I may have missed something during live translation of the discourses – please forgive me for the same and you can wait for the official release in Madhuchaitanya coming issues.
Jai Baba Swami. Jai Guru Shakti Dham, Jai Guruma and a special Jai to all my sadhak brothers and sisters who were part of an historic occasion – Jai Ho!!!
