Take a Moment for Yourself –
Make That Moment Eternal
In the rush of daily life, we
often forget to pause. Responsibilities, ambitions, and distractions keep us
moving endlessly, leaving little space for ourselves. Yet, the essence of
meditation reminds us of a profound truth: taking a single moment for yourself
can transform your entire life. When that moment is embraced in awareness, it
becomes eternal.
Meditation is the art of
pausing. It is the conscious act of stepping away from the noise of the world
and turning inward. In that pause, we take a moment for ourselves - not to
escape, but to reconnect. This moment is not about doing; it is about being. It
is about resting in awareness, where the present reveals itself as the only
reality.
Swami Shivkrupanandji often
emphasises that life should be lived in complete awareness. The present moment
is reality; everything else is either history or mystery. The past has already
gone, and the future is yet to unfold. Only the present is alive, vibrant, and
real. When we meditate, we anchor ourselves in this truth. We take a moment,
and in that moment, we discover eternity.
The challenge is that most of
us approach meditation with restless minds. Thoughts, emotions, and tension
fill our inner space. Yet, meditation does not demand perfection. It simply
asks us to pause, to observe, and to surrender. Even amidst restlessness, when
we take a moment to sit quietly, awareness begins to grow. Slowly, the mind
settles, and the moment expands into timelessness.
Living in the moment is not
limited to meditation alone. It is a way of life. When we are present, we give
our best to whatever we do. Whether working, speaking, or loving, presence
brings depth and sincerity. It allows us to experience joy and bliss, not as
fleeting emotions but as the natural fragrance of awareness.
To make a moment eternal is to
live it fully. It is to immerse in the now so deeply that time dissolves. In
meditation, this happens naturally. A single breath, observed with awareness,
becomes infinite. A single moment of silence opens into eternity. This is the
gift of meditation: it transforms ordinary moments into timeless experiences.
When we live in awareness,
life itself becomes meditation. Each moment is sacred, each action is mindful,
each experience is complete. We no longer chase happiness outside; we discover
bliss within. The eternal moment is not somewhere else - it is here, now,
waiting to be embraced.
Thus, the invitation is
simple: take a moment for yourself. Sit quietly, breathe, and be aware. In that
awareness, the moment becomes eternal. Life lived in the present is life lived
in joy, peace, and bliss. Everything else - past or future - is only shadow.
The present is light, and in that light, eternity shines.
