If a Satguru Comes in Our Life – Is It Our Last Birth?
The question of rebirth has
fascinated seekers for centuries. Many wonder: if a Satguru enters our life,
does it mean this is our last birth? The answer lies not in mere association
but in the depth of our sadhana, devotion, and awareness.
Meeting one’s Satguru is not
an ordinary event - it is the greatest blessing of lifetimes. The Satguru is
the living embodiment of universal consciousness, guiding seekers toward
liberation. When one has truly met the Satguru, there is no question of coming
back. But this truth unfolds only through sincere practice.
There is a saying in Hindi: “Jaise
teraa gaana, waise mera bajana”—as is your effort, so is the response. The
Satguru showers consciousness based on the seeker’s sadhana. If one practices
with sincerity, devotion, and faith, the Satguru’s grace flows abundantly. But
if one remains casual or half-hearted, the transformation remains incomplete.
Sadhana is the bridge between
the seeker and liberation. It is not enough to meet the Satguru externally; one
must walk the inner path with discipline and surrender. Meditation under the
guidance of a living master like Shree Shivkrupanand Swamiji transforms life,
giving it a new dimension. Through meditation, self-awareness blossoms, and the
seeker begins to dissolve the karmic bonds that tie one to rebirth.
The ultimate state is the void
- the complete silence of mind and dissolution of ego. When one reaches this
state, rebirth ceases. At the point of death, if one is in complete peace, with
no thoughts at all, then one can say there is no return. Liberation is not
about escaping death but about transcending the cycle of birth and death
through awareness.
The last mile of the journey
is always walked alone. The Satguru guides, blesses, and transmits energy, but
the seeker must take the final step into the void. This requires courage,
surrender, and unwavering faith. When the seeker reaches that state, the cycle
ends.
Thus, if a Satguru comes into
our life, it is indeed possible that this is our last birth. But it depends on
our sadhana, our devotion, and our ability to reach the state of void. The
Satguru opens the door, but we must walk through it. Liberation is not
automatic; it is the fruit of sincere practice and complete surrender.
At the moment of death, if the
seeker rests in silence, free of thoughts, merged in the Satguru’s
consciousness, then rebirth is no longer necessary. The journey ends in union
with the eternal.
So, let us practice sincerely.
Let us meditate with devotion and faith. Let us walk with the Satguru, knowing
that his presence is the greatest blessing. If we reach the state of void, then
truly, this birth will be our last.
