Discover Your Self

We live in a world consumed by external validation. From our early childhood through adulthood, our understanding of who we are is largely shaped by the judgments, expectations, and opinions of those around us. When we remain ignorant of our true nature, we naturally lean on other people’s perceptions to define our worth, identity, and direction. This dependence creates an endless cycle of seeking approval, living in fear of criticism, and suffering from a constant sense of incompleteness. To break free from this illusion, we must embark on the most vital voyage of human existence: the journey of self-discovery.

The true journey inward rarely begins in isolation. It takes a spark to ignite the light within, and that spark is lit when a self-realised master, such as Shree Shivkrupanand Swamiji, enters our lives. A living master acts as a compassionate guide and a mirror, revealing the vast spiritual potential hidden beneath our mental noise. Through their divine presence and grace, we are introduced to the sacred practice of meditation - not merely as a technique for relaxation, but as a bridge connecting our outer awareness to our inner essence.

However, meditation alone is only the gateway. The key that unlocks the deepest layers of self-discovery is complete, unconditional surrender. Surrender does not mean weakness or giving up one's individuality; rather, it is the conscious releasing of the ego, intellectual pride, and predefined concepts of who we think we are. When we surrender unconditionally to the divine guidance of the master and the flow of universal energy, our attention naturally turns inward. We cease fighting the external world and begin listening to the subtle whisper of our inner reality.

As we turn our focus within and maintain a steady practice of meditation, a profound process of inner purification unfolds. Over time, the flowing spiritual energy gently cleanses our subtle body, balancing and unblocking the seven major chakras. These energy centres often carry accumulated debris - past traumas, suppressed emotions, negative thought patterns, and conditioning. As the chakras are cleansed, deep emotional, physical, and psychological healing occurs from within. We begin to feel lighter, calmer, and more centred, shedding the layers of illusion that have clouded our true vision for years.

Once the mind is quieted and the subtle energy channels are purified, the ultimate truth is unveiled. We come to the radiant realisation of who we really are. We discover that we are not the perishable physical body, nor are we the fluctuating mind or the fragile ego. We are the soul (Atma) - eternal, imperishable, and divine.

In this realisation, all dependence on external opinions vanishes completely. The soul needs no external approval because its intrinsic nature is pure love, peace, and harmony. Unaffected by the births and deaths of the physical form, the soul remains timeless and complete in itself. By walking the path of meditation, surrendering to the master's grace, and allowing the inner cleansing to take place, we step out of the shadows of external judgment and anchor ourselves firmly in the immortal light of our true identity.

Jai Baba Swami!
