Sharing
When we care
about people or any life-form for that matter, we share both our joys and sorrows
with such people. We have observed domestic animals – especially dogs and cats
who sense our grief and come to us and offer their condolences in their own
way. In fact, nowadays hug a pet has become a therapy for people in depression.
We share our
innermost secrets with our friends, simply because friendship is nothing but an
expression of love with no expectations. Some of our best friends are made during
our childhood and this friendship lasts a lifetime. As we grow and mature, most
of us do well in life and become pretty well-off. If we are on the spiritual
path the best gift one can give is introduction to meditation and showing the
path to self-realisation. As Swamiji says, whatever you receive free of cost
needs to be distributed free of cost, so the more people one introduces to the
path, the better it is for one’s own spiritual progress.
When we
share this with love and affection, our whole being is suffused with love
energy, we gain a radiance, a fragrance to our personality – and this is what
we are actually sharing. It is a fundamental rule of the universe – the more one
shares without any expectation, the more one gets from the universe, thus
setting in motion a cycle of giving and sharing.
We should
share all our positivity, share our life, share all that we have. Whatsoever is
beautiful must be shared, never hoard that. We should always share our wisdom,
our prayers, our love, our happiness, our delight, our joy, our sense of peace
and calm – we should share all of this. We can share this with anybody, in fact
those who come within range will receive it automatically as your aura expands
and envelops such people. Even animals get our love and come to us happily.
Sharing is one of the most spiritual virtues, one of the greatest spiritual virtues. And: be nothing. Once we start thinking that we are somebody, we should stop; then love does not flow. Love flows only out of somebody who is a nobody. Love abides only in nothingness. When we are empty, there is love. When we are full of the ego, love disappears.
Love and ego cannot exist together. Love can exist
with God but cannot exist with the ego, because love and God are synonymous.
Love and ego are impossible to be together. So be nothing. That is the meaning
of being humble, meek. Says Jesus: Blessed are the meek, for theirs is the
Kingdom of God.
