Awakening a Deep Sense of Balance
Awakening a Deep
Sense of Balance
In today’s fast-moving world, where
distractions are constant and pressures are high, awakening a deep sense of
balance has become more important than ever. True balance is not simply the
ability to manage time or juggle responsibilities - it is a profound state of
harmony within oneself, where the mind, body, and spirit align. Through the
spiritual path of Himalayan Samarpan Dhyanyog, as taught by His Holiness
Shivkrupanand Swamiji, this inner equilibrium becomes not only possible but natural.
Balance begins with awareness. Much of
our inner imbalance stems from our unconscious reactions to life - past wounds,
fears of the future, and a restless mind that refuses to settle in the present.
Shivkrupanand Swamiji reminds us that the key lies in living in the "here
and now." The present moment holds the power to dissolve the regrets of
the past and the anxieties of the future. When we become aware of the now, even
for a few moments, we begin to touch the core of balance.
Meditation is the gateway to this
awareness. Through the practice of Samarpan Dhyanyog, which emphasises
surrender and effortless being, we learn to observe the mind without judgment.
Over time, as the chatter of thoughts reduces, our natural state of peace
emerges. The breath slows, the nervous system calms, and a quiet joy begins to
spread from within. This stillness is not an escape from the world, but a
return to our true self - a self that is naturally balanced and whole.
Swamiji emphasises that the journey of
balance is one of simplicity. In the modern world, we often believe that we
must do more to be more. But spiritual balance arises not from doing, but from
being. It is found in silence, in solitude, and in surrender. By letting go of
mental clutter and emotional baggage, we make space for the inner light to
shine. As the mind clears, the soul speaks - and it speaks in the language of
peace.
Living a balanced life does not mean
avoiding challenges or emotions. It means staying centred amidst them. The
storms of life will come, but with an awakened inner core, we remain grounded.
Through regular meditation and living in awareness, we become less reactive and
more responsive. Emotions may arise, but they no longer control us. We begin to
witness rather than absorb, to flow rather than resist. This is the strength
that balance brings.
True balance also means aligning with
the rhythm of nature. The body is made of the same five elements as the Earth,
and when we live in harmony with natural cycles -rising with the sun, eating
sattvic food, resting adequately - we strengthen this connection. Swamiji
teaches that our inner state reflects in our outer life. When we are balanced
inside, our relationships, health, and work all reflect that harmony.
Perhaps the most beautiful gift of
balance is the ability to experience joy without condition. It is a joy not
based on success or possessions, but on a deep connection with existence
itself. As the inner restlessness settles, the heart opens. We begin to see
beauty in the small, to love without expectation, and to live with gratitude.
This is the fruit of a balanced life.
Through the simple yet powerful path of
Himalayan Samarpan Dhyanyog, and the compassionate guidance of Swamiji, we are
shown the way to awaken this deep sense of balance. It is not something we must
strive for - it is already within us, waiting to be discovered. When we live
from this space, life becomes not a burden, but a blessing.
