Meditate Regularly – Stay Aligned with
Divinity in a Year of Turmoil
Every year brings its own
challenges, but some years carry a heavier burden of turmoil. Man-made crises,
conflicts, and natural disasters shake the foundations of human life, leaving
many feeling anxious, fearful, and uncertain. In such times, the question
arises: how can one remain steady, peaceful, and aligned with the higher truth?
The answer, as Shivkrupanand Swamiji teaches, lies in meditation.
Meditation is not merely a
practice; it is the lifeline that connects us to universal consciousness. When
the external world is filled with chaos, meditation helps us retreat into the
sanctuary within, where silence and divinity reside. By meditating regularly,
we remain centred, balanced, and protected, no matter what storms rage outside.
Swamiji explains that
meditation is the bridge between the individual self and the infinite. It
dissolves the noise of the mind and allows the soul to align with the
vibrations of universal consciousness. In this alignment, fear and anxiety lose
their grip, and the seeker experiences peace and bliss. Meditation is not
escape - it is empowerment. It equips us to live in the world without being
shaken by its turmoil.
This year, as Swamiji has
often reminded sadhaks, will be marked by disturbances - both man-made and
natural. Such events are beyond our control, but how we respond to them is
within our reach. Meditation under the guidance of a realised master provides
the shield we need. The Satguru’s energy protects the seeker, purifies the
consciousness, and strengthens the inner being.
In Himalayan Samarpan
Meditation, the sadhak places the chitta on the sahastrar in complete surrender
to the Guru-energies. This surrender is the key. Ego dissolves, the restless
mind quiets, and the soul awakens. The Satguru’s vibrations flow into the sadhak,
creating a protective field of energy. In this field, external turmoil cannot
disturb the inner silence. The sadhak’s aura or energy field becomes strong and
he remains aligned with divinity, steady and fearless.
Meditation in collectivity
magnifies this protection. When sadhaks gather, the collective energy creates a
powerful shield that uplifts everyone present. Ego, which thrives on
separation, finds it harder to survive in this atmosphere of unity. At the same
time, meditation in solitude is equally important. Alone, the sadhak deepens
introversiveness, surrendering fully to the Satguru and resting in the Self.
Both collective and solitary meditation are essential to stay aligned with
divinity.
Swamiji emphasises that
regularity is crucial. Meditation is not a practice to be done occasionally,
but daily. Just as the body needs food every day, the soul needs meditation
every day. Regular meditation builds resilience, strengthens the connection
with universal consciousness, and ensures that the seeker remains centred even
in the most difficult times.
Ultimately, meditation is the
path to liberation. It is the way to rise above turmoil, not by escaping it,
but by transcending it. When the sadhak is aligned with divinity, external
events lose their power to disturb. Silence, bliss, and freedom become the
natural state. In this state, the seeker lives in the world but is no longer
bound by it.
Thus, in a year of turmoil,
the greatest protection is meditation. By meditating regularly under the
guidance of a realised master like Shivkrupanand Swamiji, seekers can stay
aligned with divinity, centred in the Self, and connected with universal
consciousness. External storms may come, but within, there will be only peace.
