How Do We Measure Success
Spiritually?
In the material world, success
is often measured in terms of money, possessions, and social status. Our
current education system, shaped by materialistic values, has become rotten in
this regard—it teaches us to equate success with wealth and external achievements.
But is this the true measure of success?
Many of us find ourselves
doing things against our natural grain, simply because they are more
remunerative. We choose careers, tasks, and lifestyles not because we love
them, but because they promise financial rewards. This creates inner conflict,
stress, and dissatisfaction. True success cannot be measured by how much we
earn, but by how aligned we are with our inner being.
Spiritual success is measured
differently. It is not about accumulation but about transformation. It is not
about wealth but about awareness. Through meditation, we learn to live in the
present moment. We discover that success is not external—it is internal. The
true measure of success becomes our energy field. When our energy turns
positive, filled with love, compassion, and peace, we are successful in the
deepest sense.
This inner success reflects
outwardly. Whatever we do in the material world also begins to succeed, because
we are centred within. When consciousness defines success, life becomes
harmonious. We no longer chase external validation; instead, we radiate
positivity, and success flows naturally.
Meditation under the guidance
of a living master like Shree Shivkrupanand Swamiji transforms life and gives
it a new dimension. The Satguru guides us inward, helping us discover the
richness of our inner world. As our inner world becomes peaceful, calm, and
balanced, our outer world begins to reflect the same qualities.
Spiritual success is not about
escaping the material world—it is about living in it with awareness. It is
about doing what we love, being authentic, and allowing our consciousness to
shine through our actions. When our energy field is positive, when our heart is
filled with love, when our mind is calm, we are truly successful.
At its core, spiritual success
means equanimity. It means being at peace with ourselves, regardless of
external circumstances. It means living with awareness, compassion, and joy.
This success cannot be measured in numbers, but it can be felt in the quality
of our presence.
So, how do we measure success
spiritually? By the love we radiate, by the peace we embody, by the awareness
we cultivate. Success is not about what we have, but about who we are.
Meditation reveals this truth, and under the guidance of a realised master, our
life becomes a reflection of inner success.
