Attitude is Everything!

Attitude is Everything!!

During the theory sessions for our paragliding course, our flight instructor had asked us what is the one most important quality one should have to be able to fly. There were several answers from the students and the correct answer was ATTITUDE. Because with the right attitude you will not only complete your course but also become a safe paraglider!

When we talk about attitude, there are several quotes which define this – ‘attitude is everything’ is my favourite. Why is that so? Simply because with the right attitude you can literally touch the sky, nothing is outside the realms of possibility – everything is achievable! Then what is the ‘right’ attitude you may well ask. Well, if you have a positive attitude and a nothing is impossible outlook then you are destined for great things in life. For instance, if you think your attitude is like a box of crayons and you select grey then your whole life is shaded grey – but if you select colour which reflect nature and life you can fill your life with colours of love, humour, laughter and achievement. Once you have these bright colours life actually lightens up for you!

Your attitude is the most important quality needed to be a successful, liked and admired person in life. Show positivity, humour, love, compassion and you will be well liked and admired. Along with the right attitude you also need to be humble and grounded, else your ego will take control and your attitude will turn into arrogance. That is something which one should totally avoid.

Your attitude is shaped by not only those close to you but also by the experiences you get in life. To have control over your attitude, to remain humble and grounded meditation is of great help. Meditation helps you see life from a deeper perspective. You get to literally ‘know’ yourself and once you do that you realise why you have the kind of attitude towards life that has been a part of you as you grew up from a child into an adult. Meditation helps sharpen your attitude along with compassion – so meditate.
