The Satguru Is Always With You
The Satguru Is Always
With You
We often wander through life carrying an
unspoken, heavy loneliness, believing we must bear the weight of our ambitions,
sorrows, and worldly struggles entirely on our own. Yet, on the path of
Himalayan Samarpan Meditation under the divine guidance of self-realised Master
Shree Shivkrupanand Swami (Swamiji), life reveals an extraordinary truth: we
are never alone. The living Satguru does not dwell merely in physical
proximity, books, or distant ashrams; he is an eternal, living presence woven
into every breath of a surrendered disciple.
When you sit each morning in Himalayan
Samarpan Meditation, leaving aside the intellectual clutter of the mind, a
subtle shift begins to unfold. Through the simple act of surrendering thoughts,
worries, and ego, the dormant energy awakens, gently guiding the attention up
to the Crown Chakra (Sahasrara). With sustained and regular practice,
the boundaries of the isolated self, dissolve, and you begin to merge into the
boundless ocean of universal consciousness.
It is at the Sahasrara where this sacred
bond becomes intensely tangible. You feel Gurudev’s vibrant, loving energy
gathering like a cool, gentle canopy of divine vibrations (chaitanya)
right above the head. In moments of sudden chaos, acute stress, or deep inner
turmoil, you no longer need to panic or search for answers outside. All it
takes is closing your eyes for a single, quiet minute and turning your gaze
within. Suddenly, out of nowhere in an empty room, a distinct and sublime
fragrance of sandalwood fills the air. It brings an instant stillness to the
racing heart - a silent, unmistakable whisper from the universe: Swamiji is
here. You are protected.
That sandalwood fragrance is not an
ordinary sensory phenomenon; it is the physical manifestation of pure grace.
Yet, experiencing this divine presence continuously depends entirely on the
depth of our inner commitment. How surrendered are we? How clean have we kept
our inner vessel? When our surrender is complete and unconditional, Swamiji’s
vibrations and divine fragrance cease to be sporadic visits; they become an
unbroken shield accompanying us through every boardroom, household duty, and
personal trial.
A profound principle underlies this
relationship: the Satguru is always holding the disciple’s hand. His grip never
wavers, nor does his grace ever diminish. The divine current flows without
prejudice. However, spiritual evolution requires two hands to clasp. It is
entirely up to the disciple to hold on tightly from their side. The moment we
let our attention drift into excessive worldly attachments, ego, negligence, or
doubt, our grip turns slack.
If that grip loosens completely, the
connection is lost. The protective flow of chaitanya recedes from our
awareness, leaving us once again at the mercy of an agitated mind and the wheel
of karmic reactions. To drop that hand means having to start the ascent all
over again from square one. In spiritual terms, losing this rare, precious
opportunity is akin to missing the divine bus that has arrived at your doorstep
in this human birth. To let it pass by out of casual carelessness could mean
waiting across countless births and lifetimes before such a living bridge to Moksha
(ultimate liberation) presents itself again.
We have been blessed with a living
Master and a path of pure, effortless surrender. Do not take this golden grace
for granted. Sit each morning with reverence, keep your awareness centred at
the Sahasrara, and clasp the Satguru’s hand with unwavering devotion. When you
hold on with your whole being, you realise that throughout the storms of
existence, the Satguru is, and always will be, right beside you.
