Open the Doors of your Heart

We are celebrating Deepavali – the festival of lights – it represents the victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance. During this Deepavali celebration open the doors to your heart - let us give and forgive – give love and forgive the wrongs done by others and seek forgiveness for wrongs done by you. When you open the doors to your heart you give as well as receive love and at the very subtle level you let the Satguru’s energy enter your heart.

Wake up early in the morning during these Deepawali days – this is a very healthy practice, a great blessing from the standpoint of health, ethical discipline, efficiency in work and spiritual advancement. Waking up during the Brahma muhurat helps you tune in to the frequency of the sages sitting in the Himalayas – they are transmitting their messages all the time, you just need to match their frequency, and once you do you will get inexplicable divine experiences!

Diwali is a unifying event and it can soften even the hardest of hearts and in so doing open the doors to the heart. Once the heart opens up you will be in a position to tune in to the voice of the sages as they say, “O children of God unite, and love one and all.” The vibrations produced by the greetings of love fill the atmosphere with powerful love vibrations. The festival of lights helps in softening the toughest of hearts and rekindles the urgent need of turning away from the ruinous path of hatred.

Illuminate your inner self and light up the chambers of your heart. Sit quietly and focus your chitta on this supreme light which illuminates the soul. Feel the cool vibrations around your heart chakra as the soul lights up, see the light of the soul with your inner eye and realise that your yourself are ‘that’ which Nisarga Datta Maharaj referred to! Once you do this you will find yourself in a state of pure eternal bliss.

From darkness unto light – the light empowers us to commit ourselves to good deeds and brings us closer and closer to divinity. The Satguru is standing at the entrance to your heart this Diwali – all you have to do is open the doors of your heart to experience him. Your entire attention should be focused on the inner experience this Diwali – open the doors and sense his presence through cool vibrations and the divine fragrance of sandalwood, jasmine and rose – Happy Deepavali to all!
