The Power Within Us
We are so lucky to have found a living Master who has taken us
under His wing and taught us meditation and how to become spiritually
independent. He has taught us to ignite the spiritual fuel lying unused within
us and fired us in such a way that soul-realisation happened, the divinity
within has been awakened.
The divine lies latent within each one of us but we live in a
complete state of body consciousness. It takes a realised Master to awaken the
divinity within us and make us embark on our journey to soul consciousness. The
Master bestows us with the spiritual experience of self-realisation, with time
we come to experience our soul and finally comes inner knowledge. This entire
process takes a lot of time and complete dedication is required to be given by
the seeker, to progress from self-realisation, to soul-realisation and thence
to inner knowledge.
With each progressive step we keep getting spiritual experiences
and keep awakening a portion of the power lying dormant within us. The Master
puts a portion of himself in each one of us and then like Sadhguru Jaggi Vasdev
has mentioned, the seed functions like a GPS – and the Satguru knows the status
of every disciple through the ‘Guru Positioning System’!
We always had this power in the past births, but unfortunately man pushed
God out of his life and go stuck up in egotistical battles. There is no way the
world can change without change in the individual. That can happen only when
each one of us awakens the divine within us, and when that happens the
collective divine power will become a tremendous force of positivity which
could have a positive impact on the way the world is functioning today.
We need to perform our spiritual practice and that in turn helps
our soul guide us in our day-to-day life. The change in our persona becomes
obvious to others who meet us. We get to hear comments like, “What is it about
you? There is something different. What is there about you that is so
different? Why do I feel peace and love in your presence?”
This happens naturally when people come within your energy field or
aura, they feel good and peaceful – that is just one of powers that comes
naturally. We just need to be careful and avoid developing an ego about this.
The divinity and the energy come from the spiritual seed implanted in us by the
Master, our spiritual practice nourishes the seed into a veritable tree in
which others seek shelter and quietude. We become ambassadors of our Master,
reflecting the power of God and Guru to the outside world.
