DANDI ASHRAM – CONCLUSION OF  8 TH DEEP MEDITATION ANUSHTHAN We left for Navsari on 26 th February at 12.15pm from my office. Originally six of us had planned to travel and on January 1, I had booked two rooms at Hotel Regency – one for ladies and one for gents. But as per Guruiccha three dropped out at the last moment, and only three of us travelled with Pawanji deciding to come by train and join us at night. We reached Dandi Ashram by 4.30pm and caught the evening meditation. The atmosphere was cool and vibrant with energy. After meditation we had bhojan Prasad and reached the hotel by 9.15pm. On the way we got a call from Krupaji who said that there was some problem with booking as Ramnathji using a mobile app had booked two rooms for the 27 th of Feb instead of 26 th . I told her that Ramnath and his wife and son can stay with me, Khamankarji and Truptiji by putting an extra bed. EGO AND SPIRITUALITY

The ego could be called the core or nucleus of the Conscious Mind. Most people spend the vast majority of their conscious time in association with the ego during their waking hours. The ego is the component of personality that is responsible for dealing with reality in day to day life. The ego develops from the individual’s personality and his growth years since childhood in the company of parents. The ego develops and operates on the principle of reality, which strives to satisfy the individual’s desires in realistic and socially acceptable ways. The reality principle weighs the costs and benefits of an action before deciding to accept or reject those impulses. When you try to analyze the Ego and its subtle manifestations with respect to spirituality, one realises that there are two obvious aspects to ego, namely the life-affirming ego and the life-negating ego.
