MAHASHIVRATRI 2015 – DANDI ASHRAM, 17TH FEBRUARY 2015

We left for Dandi Ashram at 1.10pm from my office. There were three cancellations and one addition, which was a sadhika from Ambuja centre. She had joined Samarpan Meditation in April 2009 and stopped coming for Samarpan events and meditation at the centre since Gurupurnima 2010. She is a pure soul and her connection with Swamiji is very strong. After a gap of five years she told me about a fortnight ago that she is coming. I told her she is welcome though I was not sure whether we could accommodate her as bookings were all full. But then, Swamiji always makes room for those whose desire is powerful and intent pure. And there she was with some last minute cancellations! We picked up Deepali Gokhale and Pawan Kankani and the four of us left from Fountain at Ghodbunder road at 2pm. The roads were mostly clear and we reached the Ashram at exactly 4.55pm. We had the pure wish to have collective meditation on the last day of Anushthan and even though in the morning it was announced that the...

Mahashivratri - Dandi - 10th March, 2013

Image
I woke up at 2.30am on this holy day to get ready for departure. We had decided to leave early so that we would not get stuck in traffic as had happened last year.   Hotel Royal Regency had made a marvellous gesture this year and kept a complimentary breakfast for all sadhaks leaving for the Ashram to attend the Mahashivratri function. I had a breakfast of ‘poha’ and jam sandwich along with a cup of tea. We checked out and left the hotel at 3.30am for the Ashram. This was the first time that I drove through the road in the city as I followed other cars which had left just before we did. Actually almost the entire hotel was packed with sadhaks from all over – I saw some sadhaks from Singapore too. I had to go back to Sadhak Niwas to pick a sadhika who had requested for an early morning pick up. After she sat in the car, I drove down towards the Ashram on a road (usually empty) which was busy with traffic going to the Ashram. As we neared the ashram volunteers guided us on to the...

MEDITATION WITH SWAMI PREM PARASJI

Location: His residence at MHADA, Lokhandwala, Andheri West, Mumbai. Time: 7.15pm to 9.15pm Participants: Swami Prem Parasji, Ma Prem Sandeshji, Girish Borkar Ma Prem Sandesh spread a carpet on the ground for us to sit comfortably. Swamiji then commenced the meditation by asking us to sit down comfortably with our eyes shut. After that he chanted the Guru Avahan mantra and as the chant commenced you could feel the energy flow as Guru Energies started descending into that room, the body felt waves of cold energy as the chant got over. He told us to sit comfortably, and as we sat He said put the chin on the chest so that it touched the thymus gland. After some time he told us to lie down if we felt comfortable that way. He said that there is no formality or set way of meditation for the Param followers, do whatever you are most comfortable, He said. I then stretched my legs and lay down on the ground. Swamiji then started the deathless meditation process by telling us to feel that ...

Chaitanya Samarpan Dhyan Mahashibir – 7,8,9 November 2011 at Rajkot

We had booked flight tickets for Rajkot almost two months ago. There were five of us initially, of which three dropped out due to personal reasons and only Deepak Tandon and I took the flight. We met a sadhak couple from Juhu center, who were on the same flight. We landed in Rakjot at 6.15am and took the hired cab to the Ashram situated at Sindhavadar which is about 50km from the airport. The drive took us just over an hour. Just as we neared the Ashram, I saw a huge “Trishul” formed in the clouds, which was welcoming us into the presence of divinity. We reached the Ashram at around 7.30am, registered at the registration counter and went into the residential tent. The tent was huge, with the capacity of accommodating 4320 sadhaks. The Ashram land had been acquired only on September 5, 2011 and PP Gurudev’s residence was constructed in exactly 57 days, and co-incidentally this was PP Gurudev’s 57th birthday. The Rajkot sadhaks, under the very able guidance of Ms. Jigna Gohil (Presiden...

Our connection to a living Sadguru and thus to Guru Tattva

Param Pujya Swami Shivakrupandji in his discourses has said that he is non-existence and has reached the state of “ Shunya ”. He has mentioned that it was Shirdi Sainath who came in his dreams and told him to accept dakshina and then see his Gurukarya increase manifold. In fact in one of his discourses, on the fourth day, he makes you experience Shirdi Sainaths energy! Swamiji has mentioned that you can see your own Guru in Him, and many sadhaks/sadhikas have seen Shirdi Sainath, Osho, Swami Samarth, etc in Him. Swamiji has said that Guru Tattva remains the same, the Gurus change with the times, but the essence is always the same. When we come in contact with a living Sadguru, what does that entail for the sadhaks ? At soul level the sadhak has reached a stage for his further evolution, for him to grow further and move into a different dimension. Hence, the sadhak should realize that there are subtle changes taking place within himself/herself, through the Sadguru’s Grace and thro...
