Just
Live your Life
All
of us have taken birth for a specific purpose – each one is working out our own
karmas – we all endure them or enjoy them based on our past birth activities. At
the time of birth, we remember the purpose of our birth, but as we grow up, we
are filled with so much of external information that we completely forget the
purpose of our birth. We are again in the dark as we start creating new karmas
in this birth while enjoying or enduring the previous birth’s karmas. This
cycle just goes on and on.
Many
of us try to emulate other people’s lives as we try to imitate or follow in the
path of our heroes or idols – some of us go to the extent of living such lives
perfectly. But this was never the purpose for our taking birth – it is better
to live our own life imperfectly than to live the life of others perfectly –
this is mentioned in the Bhagwad Geeta. Just remember this much – whatever happened
happened for the good, whatever is happening is happening for the good,
whatever will happen will happen for the good. Our role in all this is to
accept this tenet and just go with the flow. Problems start happening when we
resist the flow and try to impose our will over the will of universal
consciousness. That is when the difficulties begin, as you start facing problems
and you continue facing problems till you at last realise that there is no
point in resisting what life is throwing at you. You then learn to accept and
once that happens life somehow becomes much better to live!
With
the advent of a living realised Master in our lives who guides us inwards, over
time we learn that the outside world is just an illusion, something which we have
to live and enjoy without becoming a ‘part’ of it. We begin to witness life in
a detached manner and accepting the ‘good’ and ‘bad’ with equanimity. Because
we have now realised that there is nothing which is good or bad – these are all
just creations of the mind – we now know that everything just ‘is’ the way it
is supposed to be. As we learn to live our own life as witnesses, we begin to
enjoy that inner peace and silence which then reflects in the radiance of our
own external being. Our aura and our energy field radiate that positivity, love
and compassion for all beings which is definite indication of living our own
life in the way that universal consciousness had planned!
