Opening the Self to Cosmic Energy

Cosmic energy is not something distant or abstract - it is the very essence of existence. It flows through every atom, every breath, every moment. Yet most of us live disconnected from this source, caught in the noise of the mind and the demands of the world. To open the Self to cosmic energy is to return to our natural state - alert, alive, and fully in the present moment.

In Himalayan Samarpan Dhyanyog, Swami Shivkrupanandji teaches that cosmic energy is always available. It is not limited by time, space, or effort. But to receive it, we must be open. And openness begins with complete unconditional surrender - not to a concept, but to the living presence of the Satguru.

When we sit in meditation, we are not trying to create energy - we are aligning with it. The practice of Samarpan is simple yet profound. We place our chitta (subtle consciousness) on the sahastrar, the crown chakra, and surrender to the Guru’s energy. In that surrender, the cosmic flow begins.

This energy is not just spiritual - it is deeply practical. It awakens the body, sharpens the mind, and expands the heart. We become more aware of our surroundings, more sensitive to others, and more attuned to the present moment. The fog of distraction lifts, and clarity emerges.

Cosmic energy is intelligent. It knows where to go, what to heal, and how to guide. When we open ourselves to it, we don’t need to plan or push. We simply receive. And in that receiving, transformation happens - not through effort, but through grace.

Swamiji reminds us that the Self is like a satellite dish. If it is misaligned, it cannot receive the signal. But when it is tuned correctly - through meditation and surrender - it begins to receive cosmic transmissions. These are not just thoughts or insights - they are vibrations of truth, peace, and purpose.

The more we meditate, the more this connection deepens. The chitta becomes purified, the mind becomes quiet, and the soul begins to shine. We start living from the centre, not the surface. We stop reacting and start responding with full awareness. We stop rushing and start flowing.

Opening to cosmic energy also means letting go of resistance. The ego wants control, certainty, and recognition. But the soul seeks connection, surrender, and silence. When we let go of the need to understand everything, we begin to experience everything.

This energy is not reserved for saints or sages - it is available to all. The only requirement is sincerity. When we sit with a pure heart, even for a few minutes, the cosmic energy begins to flow. It doesn’t matter where we are or what we know. What matters is our willingness to receive.

So, sit and inhale deeply, gently with complete surrender. Place your chitta on the sahastrar and let the Satguru’s energy flow. Let the mind dissolve. Let the soul rise. And in that rising, feel the cosmic embrace.

You will not just feel peaceful - you will feel alive. You will not just feel calm - you will feel connected. You will not just meditate - you will merge with universal consciousness.
