Meditation and True Devotion
Meditation and True
Devotion
In the spiritual path of Himalayan
Samarpan Meditation, devotion is not a ritualistic exhibition or an emotional
plea directed toward the external world. His Holiness Shree Shivkrupanand
Swamiji teaches that true devotion (samarpan) is an absolute,
unconditional surrender of the ego, intellect, and physical identity to the
divine presence within. At the foundation of this profound inward journey lies
our sacred relationship with Kundalini Mata - the primordial mother energy
resting dormant at the base of the human spine in the Mooladhara chakra.
To understand true devotion, one must
recognize the nature of Kundalini Mata. She is not an impersonal, abstract
power; She is the living, conscious, maternal energy of the cosmos residing
within every individual. Just as an earthly mother nurtures, protects, and
sustains her child, Kundalini Mata carries the blueprint of our spiritual
evolution, waiting patiently for the moment of awakening. However, this
awakening cannot be forced through sheer willpower, rigid asceticism, or mental
ambition. Swamiji emphasises that spiritual life is governed by grace.
Kundalini Mata awakens naturally and gently only through the divine grace and
presence of a living Master (Satguru), whose vibration acts as the spark that
ignites her ascent.
When Kundalini Mata awakens through
Guru-krupa, the journey of true samarpan begins. Rising through the
Sushumna nadi, the central channel of spiritual consciousness, the Divine
Mother begins her meticulous work of inner purification. As She ascends, She
encounters the subtle impressions, past karmic burdens, and energetic blockages
accumulated across lifetimes within our chakras and nadis. With the fierce yet
tender love of a mother, She burns away these impurities. The sadhak does not
need to analyse each chakra or struggle against negative tendencies; one simply
needs to sit in silent surrender. In this state of genuine devotion, the sadhak
becomes an unresisting witness while the Divine Mother clears the pathways,
untying ancient energetic knots and elevating consciousness beyond the physical
plane.
The culmination of this sacred
pilgrimage occurs when Kundalini Mata pierces through the Agya chakra and
reaches the Sahastrar - the crown energy centre. Here, at the summit of human
existence, the individual consciousness merges completely with the universal
cosmic consciousness. The illusion of duality dissolves. As the Divine Mother
unites with the supreme cosmic energy, the sadhak is enveloped in an atmosphere
of complete nothingness (Shoonya).
In this divine vacuum, thoughts cease
entirely, time loses its grip, and the chattering mind falls silent. This state
of nothingness is not an empty void, but a fullness overflowing with pure bliss
(Paramananda), unconditioned peace, and eternal awareness. In this
silence, the practitioner realizes that true devotion is not about gaining
something new; it is about dissolving entirely into that divine reality.
Through Himalayan Samarpan Meditation, guided by Swamiji’s wisdom, devotion
transforms from an outward search into the ultimate homecoming - where the drop
surrenders completely to become the infinite ocean.
