Guru-Poornima - 2022
This year’s Guru-poornima celebration is online, even though Ashrams
have opened all over India. The solitude which one enjoyed over the two-year
pandemic period has resulted in the followers of Samarpan Meditation learning
to connect with the subtle rather than the physical persona of His Holiness
Swami Shivkrupanandji.
For those on the spiritual path these two years have been a
God-send for spiritual progress in spite of several people facing personal
tragedies, but still maintaining their equanimity and poise – a clear
indication of spiritual progress. No one to blame, just acceptance of the
situation as life follows its destined twists and turns.
Celebrations in the Samarpan family started from the 11th
itself, with early morning meditation followed by Swamiji’s discourse and
answering several questions posed by children. The QnA session itself provided
such wonderful answers to questions posed by children from 8 to 18 years of
age. The spiritual maturity of the children was such that the questions elicited
answers from His Holiness which were definitely eye-openers for their parents too,
I am sure about that! The evening open QnA session too was wonderful, with insightful
answers to all the questions posed by the sadhaks.
The morning meditation on the 12th conducted by Swamiji,
took us to a level which cannot be described, the body felt completely weightless
as if one is floating in the air. One hour passed by so quickly, it appeared
completely transitory. It left one in a state of peace, love and bliss filled
with such inner quietude which simply cannot be explained in words.
Her Holiness Guruma’s discourse was out of this world, filled with
love and wisdom, advice and guidance, delivered from a very high spiritual
state and her loving voice felt as if it was caressing the soul and thus
removing all muck and stress from it, leaving it in its original pristine
divine form – Soul to Supreme Soul.
The Satguru has held our hand tightly, it is up to us to ensure that he does not let go of the grip. He has given us his all, we need to recognise that and accept it. The disciple needs to remember why he has taken birth and why the Guru has entered our life. Introspect and find out - this is the best time for it. The Master is with us 24 x 7, the question is are we with Him 24 x 7?
The celebration of this festival is purely to connect with the
divine within our Master, to pay our obeisance to the Mother of our soul – the Master
gives birth to our soul and this day is considered the best for paying our
respects and showing our love to the Paramatma of the present time.
We can definitely do that by committing to meditate regularly and progress spiritually. Our individual spiritual progress lies in our own hands under the divine guidance of the Guru-energies. We have to regularly meditate - both individually and collectively – practice acceptance of all situations, love everyone regardless of gender, race, religion, country, colour, including all non-sentient beings!
